Kim Woo Bin and Shin Min Ah Rumored To Star in “Our Blues”
In 2017, Korean actor Kim Woo Bin was diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer, which was fortunately in the early stages. Stopping all work to undergo chemotherapy, he completed his treatment plan in 2019 and has been making a gradual return to work. After his new sci-fi crime movie Alien, the 31-year-old actor is rumored to be starring in a new drama with his girlfriend of six years, Shin Min Ah.
The couple is reportedly collaborating in Our Blues, which is directed by Kim Kyu Tae and written by Noh Hee Kyung, who is the critically acclaimed screenwriter behind popular dramas such as That Winter, The Wind Blows and Worlds Within.
Planned for 20 episodes, Our Blues will feature the lives of very different individuals. This will be the first time Kim Woo Bin and Shin Min Ah are working together since publicly announcing their relationship in 2015. Their talent agency, AM Entertainment, confirmed they received casting decisions from Our Blues and are actively considering the offers.
Initially screenwriter Noh Hee Kyung had planned to work on another drama called Here starring Lee Byung Hun, Han Ji Min, Shin Min Ah, and Nam Joo Hyuk. Because of the pandemic, plans for Here were put on hold as many of its international scenes could not be filmed. Noh Hee Kyung shifted his focus to Our Blues instead.
Filming is expected to start in the second half of the year.
