KK Cheung is a Dedicated Actor, Faithful Husband, and Supportive Father

Veteran actor KK Cheung (張國強) is a familiar face in television dramas due to his memorable portrayals in many supporting roles throughout his career. KK joined the entertainment industry in 1976 when he was only 20 years old. In 1982, he became one of the first team of hosts for the popular children’s variety show, 430 Space Shuttle <430穿梭機>.

KK married his wife in 1988. The couple welcomed one son, currently 29 years old, and two daughters, who are currently 27 and 21 years old respectively. When the family moved to Canada for a short time, KK continued to return to Hong Kong to take part in filming movies and dramas. In 2004, the family decided to move back to Hong Kong, allowing KK to fully immerse himself into his acting career.

Not only is KK a dedicated actor, but he is also a faithful husband and supportive father. He and his wife have been married for 30 years, and despite the notorious perception about the temptations of the entertainment industry, KK never once had any negative or infidelity rumors.

As a father, KK refuses to be a helicopter parent. His philosophy in raising his children is to instill upon them good morals and strong integrity, rather than expecting high levels of monetary achievements. Perhaps due to his disciplinary methods, his three children have all grown up to be obedient, respectful, and filial. The family remains close and has a good relationship. No matter where they are in life or in the world, they would make an effort to gather every holiday. Knowing KK’s love for exercise and keeping fit, his three children would accompany him hiking and running. It is no wonder that at 62 years old, KK still looks extremely young and physically athletic!

  1. 62!!! Wow, in my part of the world people can retire at 65. KK aint lookin like he’s goin no where.
Keep up the good work KK, you look great.

  2. KK is a fantastic actor. He does well in whatever role is given to him. Too bad TVB never promoted him to lead actor in his younger days. He’s always just the supporting actor. Glad to know that he is also a great husband and supportive father.

  3. Looks are deceptive yes … but this dude has always given honest down to earth vibes.

Despite the football company he keeps too (Eric Tsang, Ah Lek, Alan Tam etc are all in the same football team) … all the more big kudos to him for not being influenced or swayed.

It’s gd to keep working – whether 65 or not. Keeps one gainfully engaged, feeling useful with some sense of purpose and occupied.
Some folks actually drop dead, once they retire.

Yes. KK, Felix Wong and Eddie Cheung devoted members of the Celebrity soccer team but stuck to own family principles and not getting misled by Eric Tsang and his bad crew. Respect!

  4. Seems like a great guy. Can’t believe he is 62 years old! So fit! It’s humorous how in Succession War they actually had to make him look his age.

  5. i was worried when i saw his head picture on the page initially thinking that he unexpectly passed. i was glad that it was just a fake scare becuase i really like his acting. i’ve been seeing him on screen since a young child. would like to see more of his acting and he steals pretty much every scene he’s in. great actor!

Same here. That’s the first thing that popped up in my mind. That the actor had passed away especially with that big portrait of head and news on an actor that normally has zero news….

    2. @m0m0 lol just reread the title and saw what you mean. They should use the opposite title to describe those that are bad apples as well. haha
