Kris Wu Behaves in Prison Hoping to Reduce Sentence

Found guilty in November 2022 for rape and group promiscuity, Canadian-Chinese singer Kris Wu (吳亦凡) was sentenced to 13 years in prison. While his appeal is in progress, the denounced star has been on good behavior in prison and is noted to actively participate in extracurricular activities. He also continues to write songs filled with positivity, perhaps to liven his own mood under less-than-ideal circumstances. Kris’ continued good behavior behind cells is allegedly in hopes of reducing his sentence.

Due to his celebrity status and crime notoriety, Kris’ every move and action is heavily scrutinized, even behind bars. An anonymous police source shared Kris’ daily itinerary that is similar to all other inmates. At 8 a.m., inmates wake and wash up. They do some manual work for a few hours before lunch time at 11 a.m. The manual labor work continues from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Inmates then will spend about two hours eating dinner and some free down time before going back to their cells. Lights are out for bedtime promptly at 10 p.m.

The source further revealed that because participating in artistic activities and performances will increase inmate assessment scores, Kris actively partakes in writing music and performing songs on stage for other inmates. His increased assessment scores may help reduce his sentence and influence the outcome of his appeal decision.
