Kristal Tin Receives Surgery for Cancer

Kristal Tin (田蕊妮), 47, is in the hospital recovering after surgery. Her doctor had discovered a shadow in her lung during an annual physical exam. It took three tries to confirm that it was very early stage lung adenocarcinoma. Doctors advised Kristal to undergo surgery to remove it.

Kristal revealed, “I saw quite a few doctors and sought their advice. From meeting them to the surgery, the doctors and nurses were very patient and explained everything clearly.”

Kristal was not nervous at all. “The anesthesiologist asked me, ‘Is this really your first time having surgery?’ I told her yes and she said, ‘You’re really not nervous at all–your heart beat is only 66.”

Travelling to Taiwan to undergo surgery, Kristal praised Taiwan for their great medical system, affordability, and the medical staff for the attentiveness and care, “They really focus on the patient. I had analgesic injections after the surgery and every breath was painful. I also had rehabilitation to help heal my lungs. Not only did they explain the entire process very clearly, but they would also encourage and care for you during rehabilitation. Each time, they said I did well with such positivity.”

After her successful surgery, Kristal is feeling lively and asked everyone to not worry about her.
