Lau Dan Asserts Yang Mi is a Good Daughter-in-law
To coincide with International Women’s Day, the three leads of TVB drama Come Home Love” <愛‧回家>, Lau Dan (劉丹), Lokyi Lai (黎諾懿) and Samantha Ko (高海寧) appeared at an event to promote their long-running sitcom. Lau Dan took the opportunity to clarify rumors of his daughter-in-law, Yang Mi (楊冪), preventing him from bringing his granddaughter out over the Lunar New Year holiday.
Lau Dan said there was absolutely no truth to the rumors. In fact, his son Hawick Lau (劉愷威) and Yang Mi had spent the New Year in Beijing. Lau Dan explained, “They made those arrangements because Yang Mi has to accommodate her great-grandparents, who are based in Beijing. That is the real reason I could not see them in Hong Kong over that period.”
Lau Dan then emphasized again that Yang Mi was not a bad daughter-in-law. He added emphatically, “She is very gentle and polite to us. My son married a good wife and cannot understand all the criticism targeted at her. She is also frequently making self-deprecatory remarks when appearing on variety programs. How can you say that she has a bad temper?”
As for Lok Yi, he revealed that Queenie Chu (朱慧敏) will be re-joining the cast of Come Home Love as the sitcom concludes in May. Asked whether this was because the audience was not a fan of his pairing with Samantha, Lok Yi said nonchalantly, “Even if that were true, it’s alright. The audience’s opinion matters most, especially in sitcoms.”
Lok Yi added that he will be spending more time with his wife Nicole Lee (李潔瑩). Married last November, the couple will try to have a baby.

Hawick and yang mi are just adorable together!!!
I like Yang Mi … i don’t know if she’s a good daughter-in-law or not, Dan Lau needs to stop defending her and maybe the rumour will go away. Anyone keeping their babies away from the grandparents, or favor their own family over the in-laws … all i can say is Karma … and karma aside, they are robbing their children of another set of grandparents (aunts, uncles) who loves, adores and spoil their kids rotten.
