Leaked List of 48th TVB Anniversary Award Winners
With only four days left until the 48th TVB Anniversary Awards, a leaked list of fixed award winners surfaced on the Internet this week. With much hype over Roger Kwok (郭晉安) and Charmaine Sheh’s (佘詩曼) performances, it is rumored that TVB has already decided to give them the TV King and TV Queen titles this year.
Since Line Walker <使徒行者> is one of TVB’s most popular series in 2014, the cast will reportedly sweep the majority of the awards. Aside from Charmaine winning TV Queen, co-star Raymond Lam (林峰) will reportedly receive the My Favorite Male Character award. Sharon Chan (陳敏之) will allegedly win Best Supporting Actress.
When approached with rumors that TVB has already decided on who the winners will be, Charmaine remained modest. However, Linda Chung (鐘嘉欣), Kate Tsui (徐子珊), and Tavia Yeung (楊怡) already showed signs of giving up on the TV Queen race, and expressed their support for Charmaine.
Making an impression in Come On, Cousin <老表，你好hea!> with his exuberant role as Mario the “Soft Rice King”, Louis Cheung (張繼聰) is a hot favorite to win the Most Improved Actor award. Denying he is the designated winner, Louis said, “I didn’t hear anything about it; I’m the down-to-earth type. I become a little excited when I hear the media talking about it, but I’ll compete with a normal attitude.”

Man, if Sharon Chan wins………………… And Linda’s role for Tiger Cubs II isn’t even likeable
TVB can rig anything. They might make some interview later to say many people come out of nowhere to like Linda although we keep seeing criticism about her roles and acting in both series.
I’m rewatching ATIBIS and I think Linda’s not completely hopeless in this. She had some good moments and of cos bad ones too. Overall she’s inconsistent in this but I wouldn’t go so far to say she can’t act at all.
But for Best Actress or Most Favourite Female Role? Definitely not! Neither in ATBIS or TC2! Both roles are unlikeable and her acting are off too.
I didn’t say she’s good enough for BA with this role. Her most fave character nomination is not for this role but TC2 which i didn’t watch so I can’t comment.
Toby and passingby, I do agree that Linda Chung’s acting has further to improve, but I think she has done her role in attempting roles such as her mentally unstable officer in TC2 right? At least she’s trying not to always have that “next-door girl” image. I think she has put in some effort in her acting. Also passingby, I do agree she is inconsistent in the sense she can be good at times, bad at other times, but I also completely agree that she is TOTALLY incapable of acting. Man, at least she’s better than Sharon Chan and that fake Kate Tsui(in some dramas), right?

@Kolo: base on my encounters with him, he is a nice, gentle and polite guy. But he is also smart to know what he should do for himself. You can see that he has never badmouth TVB after leaving, and also never say anything bad about anyone. He doesnt complain about promotions and awards as well although he was used to promote for the awards and then ended up with nothing in years. I give him credits for being a man. He leaves for a bigger sky, it isnt heartless but smartness. Many examples to say once an artist have potential, The TVB awards mean nothing. Nick Cheung and Hawick Lau are.

He has room to improve, Koo. He said it himself as well. He is only 35, still in his golden time for at least 10 more years. He is all rounded which is kinda lacked now in HK, so he has his advantages.

During the 80s-90s, Jacky cheung aka god of singer only won once for the hong kong most popular singer. Its about voting if you want to win because all this skills are very subjective. If you have the highest number of fans you are the winner. Just like dayo wong, nobody can expect he will win it.

Andy Lau, his songs,singing skills were just so so in the 90s compare with Jacky cheung and Leon Lai, but yet he won it so many times. So not necessary you can act and sing very well then you can win the award. Still must depends on the number of fans you got. Grow up ignorant..

What you think is not important lol. We look at the results enough. 1991 till 1998 all the gold song gold awards went to jacky cheung and leon lai. Andy got nothing except the most popular hong kong singer. Even god of singer jacky cheung only got once in 1996 for most popular singer.

Typical of tvb but I’m happy with either Roger or Ruco winning TV King. Charmaine is definitely going to get TV Queen which she deserves. Linda was terrible in ATIBIS and same goody two shoe role but her “tough” police role in TC2 is bad as well. Hope Ruco gets My fav character at least if he doesn’t get tv king (he has brilliant roles so he has a chance next year with sky eye). Louis Cheung is new but his acting is really good so support him for BSA or Benz or Power. Nancy Wu definitely for my fav actress- Linda sucks big time. I suspect tvb will try to entice ray back with my fav award so Ruco, tough luck.

I agree Natalie has improved a lot. Starting from last year in Bullet Brain and this year in ATIBIS. She was being promoted by TVB when she got it in 2006, but I think this is actually the time when she would truly deserve this award.

I dont agree with you Jessica, Linda has quite a number of fans and I think her acting in TC2 was rather good at some points.
I wish Nancy Wu could win something but she doesn’t have a chance in the categories she was nominated in. Some people say her acting is always the same. But I find her performances over the years consistent and improving bit by bit. I don’t think she’s BA material yet but I think she’s good lead material in smaller productions.
I love Linda but yes she hasn’t lived up to the expectations. I still have faith in her though. If only she gets casted with a good role….maybe if they can get Steven to come back for another series. They were one of my favourite couples ><

I am okay with Charmaine, Roger, Ram, Raymond and even Louis winning. But not for Sharon, Linda and Priscilla. The more deserving best supporting actress or most favorite female character is Josie Ho for her role as Ting Ho Ho in TIAD. I wouldn’t even consider what Priscilla does on screen as acting and as for Linda Chung, the less said the better.

This leaked list would be a lot more believable if they didn’t have Linda for Female Character. This is 100% public voted so it’s not really the pork award anymore and Charmaine’s character was obviously the most popular this year. The dark horse contestants would be Selena Li but her series aired months ago or Nancy since she has a likable character that’s still airing.
Also, I think Sharon is very likable and I think the general public likes her too. She seems the hot favorite for Best Supporting so I wouldn’t be surprised if she won.

TVB keep pushing Linda and Kate from early on this year, they didn’t expect Charmaine’s breakout. Even until now TVB is still trying to attach Kate to Charmaine and make sure Kate is interviewed when Charmaine is such as in Scoop when clearly Charmaine stands out alone.
Pttt, they expect Ah Sheh’s breakout. You must miss the fact that TVB is giving Ah Sheh 3 movies on a set.
The contracts must’ve been discussed because Charmaine is contracted to TVB affiliate TVBC. I don’t think TVB foresee that Charmaine will have her best performance in her career in LW and standout far above other actresses. TVB have always been pushing Kate and Linda since tthe past 2-3 years.
Lolz, TVB just didnt expect the successful of LW especially when they change the airing schedule and less promotions on it after LF decided to leave. They expect Ah Sheh as you must forget TITS movie is changed to pull Ah Sheh the main lead. TVB intentionally ignore non-biological sons including LF and Sam Gor but give credit to biological sons there (Ah Sheh, Sharon and Sammy). They must do that due to the successful of LW. The more promoted series ATBIS, TC2 And TO fail badly with 21-22 rating, therefore they cant ignore the fact to blindly give awards to those series.

No not true Ah Fung is loved by all ages from babies to grannies in their 80’s. Kwok market is only the housewives but Fung caters all from kids to elderly that’s why Fung Fung got into EEG and guaranteed high soaring career while Kwok only has TVB with his over the top TV acting. That’s why Kwok can only win in TV and his movies back then all flopped.
Funny that actually LF is loved by the office ladies more than teenagers. In his concert, most of fans there are in their twenties to fourties. Many goes with families. Each time in the concert, old women are shown. The oldest supporter is 96.

Is Ruco attending the award ceremony this year since the whole captain destiny crew is now in Hengdian. Heard from a separate piece of news that Grace Chan wont be able to attending. If he is not present that will he still have equal chance of getting the award? Maybe he doesnt need to come back bcoz the results have been fixed by TVB. It’s always fixed when you don’t agree with the results. If Raymond really won the public vote in 2012 what reason did TVB have for not giving it to him? Just look at the JSG award results and it’s clear that TVB would love nothing more than to award him. Fact is TVB’s main audience is housewives. They are the ones who watch, who participate in those TVfun contests, and who actually votes.

Unless the votes are audited by an independent accounting firm like the Oscars and Grammys in the USA, I will not believe the results! TVB did released results a couple of years ago but Raymond lost even though we all know he has tons of fans and was leading in the polls until the end. And it is laughable that Raymond was always considered the “favorite son” but TVB never “gave” him BA (Ha Yu also beat him many years ago). Good riddance to TVB. Raymond does not owe them anything after being their slave for so long!

Roger’s ‘evil stares’ are laughable. He’s a dependable actor most of the time but man, he can be so over the top. That’s why he’ll never get beyond TV even with his looks.

I think everyone is well aware that Charmaine and Roger will be the BAs…but seriously, I definitely disagree with Priscilla Wong winning best improved actress. I think Samantha Ko should win that!
as well, tvb is just promoting her too much. Priscilla is so overrated. She’s given so many chances to be the female lead when so many others have much more potential than her who get minor roles!

Since TVB awards mean nothing anyways, I would like to see Raymond and Linda win Fave Character award together just cause I really liked them as a couple. But it would be even better if Charmaine and Raymond win BA together since they were such a great couple in Line Walker.
Sharon is ok? But still needs more work on her acting skills.
As for Priscilla, I’ve never watched any of her dramas, but even without watching, I could tell she is not a good actor at all and don’t know how she can win Most Improved.
Of course Fung and Charmaine should win together but TVB too biased liao they still want to give it to overacting Kwok. Puikkk.
