Lee Seung Gi Announces Wedding in April
Dating for two years, Korean actor Lee Seung Gi, 36, announced that he will be tying the knot with Lee Da In, 30, this April.
Announcing the good news on social media, the actor uploaded a handwritten note, writing, “Today, I want to disclose one of the most important decisions in my life – my beloved Lee Da In and I will transition into husband-and-wife status and will spend the rest of our live together. I’ve already proposed and she already said yes. We’ll be having our ceremony on April 7.”
In addition to praising Lee Da In for having a warm heart, Lee Seung Gi said his fiancée is someone with a pure and loving soul, and he wants to spend the rest of his life with her.
Lee Da In is the daughter of Kyeong Mi Ri, who is best known for her role as Lady Choi in the hit period drama Dae Jang Geum. In 2018, Kyeong Mi Ri’s husband was involved in a fraud scandal that led to over 350,000 victims, among which several people took their lives by suicide.
Fans were worried that Lee Da In’s family controversy would tarnish Lee Seung Gi’s healthy and positive public image, and were initially against their dating.
Proving that their relationship could withstand the hardships, the two will get married in April. Excited about the good news, good friend Lee Min Ho joked if he would be singing “Will You Marry Me” during the wedding ceremony. Lee Seung Gi responded in good humor and asked if Lee Min Ho can be the honorary rapper at his wedding.
