Leehom Wang Auctions His Self-Composed Wedding Song for Charity

Taiwanese American singer-songwriter Leehom Wang (王力宏) said he will donate all the money he had earned from the auction of his self-composed music score to a Chinese charity organization.

Leehom wrote an original wedding march for his wife Lee Jinglei (李靚蕾) when they got married in 2013. The six-minute long score was called “Jinglei + Leehom’s Wedding March.” On Monday night, December 14, Leehom put the music score, which also contained his signature, up for auction on the Chinese online shopping website Taobao. The auction lasted for five hours, and the bid went up to $261,000 TWD.

According to Taiwanese media, Leehom will donate all $261,000 TWD to the China Charities Aid Foundation for Children, helping orphaned handicapped children in China.

“Such an exciting auction last night!,” Leehom wrote on Facebook. “Congratulations t**6 for the winning bid! Most importantly, thank you for your contribution to Chunhui Children’s Foundation and everyone for helping raise awareness for the one million orphans in China who need our love and support! In case you missed it, here’s the link to the string quartet piece I arranged for our wedding!”

To thanks the fans’ support and enthusiasm, Leehom also revealed a picture he took with wife Jinglei and one-year-old daughter Jiali. Although Jiali’s back is facing the camera, it is Leehom’s first time showing his fans their “family portrait.”

In related news, Leehom just held his 20th anniversary debut fanclub party. Leehom debuted in the Taiwanese music industry with the studio album Love Rival, Beethoven (情敵貝多芬) on December 19, 1995.

My thoughts exactly and do not get why some are so into his marriage and sexual preference? Is it any of our business? His parents and family should be the most concerned. If he is frustrated and is using his marriage as a cover up then that is his business. But if he is just a straight guy that is happy with his life the just let him be. Why do some have to constantly try to convince others that he is gay and is only trying to use his fake marriage as a cover up and all? What is the big deal? I am not a fan of his but just get so annoyed that some just have no life and go on and on like a broken record and repeat the same old stuff over and over again… Oh dear…

  3. wow he look like he lost a lot of weight. Always nice to give back to people via charity so good job LH!!!!

As for his sexual preferences… who cares..he’s a talented guy and it takes two to tango so his wife should know beforehand what she is getting into.

  4. Lee Hom has lost a few pounds. I hope he does not have that stomach bacterial infection like ZCX, his fellow Taiwanese producer, singer songwriter. When Xiogang first discovered he had the ailment, hhe kept working and ignored the it till e lost over 45 pounds and almost died. Like Lee Hom, he is a hard working producer, singer and song writer with a wife and young children, and a few other things in common. Lee Hom needs to pay attention to is health, and cu back on work. Work does not die, people do. He is looking somewhat tired and pale.
