Leehom Wang Supports USA’s Legalization of Same-Sex Marriage
Wang Lee Hom (王力宏) was the presenter for the recently concluded 26th Golden Melody Awards in Taiwan. Receiving a warm welcome from his fans, Leehom was asked why he did not walk the red carpet together with his wife, Lee Jinglei (李靚蕾). Lee Hom said with a sweet smile, “She attended this event too, but she is staying out of the spotlight.”
On which album was his personal favorite, Leehom said diplomatically, “I like all of them.” He added that he had given each of the shortlisted albums a thorough listen and thought they were all well-produced.
An American citizen by birth, Leehom was naturally asked for his views on the recent groundbreaking but controversial decision of the US Supreme Court to legalize same-sex marriage. Leehom expressed, “The whole world is discussing this right now – I can see it from all the posts on Facebook, and many other social media platforms. I think [the change] came at the right time. This is a huge step forward. It’s great.”
