Lisa Tse Makes Progress in Improving Cantonese

After winning Miss Hong Kong 2020 and Miss Photogenic, Lisa Tse (謝嘉怡) was once thought to have an easy break into the entrainment industry. However, due to her weak Cantonese skills, Lisa had little filming opportunities and eventually pivoted to starting her own health drink business, while working hard to improve her Cantonese.

Recently, Lisa was invited to be a guest at an event for London Ball Foundation. Lisa made a strong impression by wearing a smart suit jacket even without wearing any makeup. During her segment, Lisa shared her personal experience of how she chased her dreams and showed off her improved language skills.

Lisa uploaded a 50-second clip on her social media page in which she could be seen speaking fluent Cantonese about her career choices: “If you have one career, you can try different career another time. It doesn’t have to be set in stone. I didn’t know what I wanted to do until I was 30 years old.”

Netizens were impressed by Lisa’s confidence on the stage and noted that Lisa must had worked hard over the years to learn Cantonese.
