Lisa Tse Surprises Mother in Scotland Home Visit
Scotland-raised Lisa Tse (謝嘉怡) has been developing her entertainment career since winning Miss Hong Kong 2020. Given the traveling restrictions of the pandemic, only Lisa’s father Peter Tse (謝廣勝) was able to accompany her to Hong Kong, while her mother stayed in Scotland. After 10 months of being apart, Lisa finally returned to Scotland just in time to celebrate Mother’s Day.
Last October, Lisa was only able to celebrate her mother’s birthday virtually. She posted a sweet family portrait and expressed how much she missed her mother. Inside her Hong Kong apartment, Lisa even keeps a bed blanket with a printed collage of her mother’s photos on her bed, a daily reminder of their moments together.
Lisa’s return home was a surprise for her mother. In a short video filmed to capture the special moment, Lisa’s mother was visibly shocked and could not believe her eyes. She immediately walked forward to hug Lisa while saying her name. When Lisa asked her mother if she was surprised, she could only continue gaping while hugging her tightly. They hugged for over 25 seconds, and it was definitely a very heartwarming moment.
Many friends from the industry immediately commented how sweet the reaction video is, while others noticed the resemblance between the mother-daughter duo and said they could be sisters due to Lisa’s mother’s youthful looks.
Staying for only a short time in Scotland, Lisa will have to return back to Hong Kong soon with her growing TVB career. With her cheerful looks and a hard working personality, Lisa easily won over her viewers despite her struggling Cantonese. She participated in the new variety show Dub of War <好聲好戲>, and is said to join long-running sitcom Come Home Love: Lo and Behold <愛回家之開心速遞>.

I hope Lisa doesn’t follow the stick thin road. She looks great right now! And really hope she doesn’t lose her sweet personality, she is such a lovely person.
I’m watching her on the dub of war show and although it’s rough, I admire her persistence and she really works hard, her Cantonese isn’t great still but it has improved a lot since miss hk.
