Liu Yifei Stars in “Rose’s Tale” with Wallace Huo

Liu Yifei (劉亦菲) is gearing up for her new project Rose Story <玫瑰故事> along with an impressive cast consisting of Wallace Huo (霍建華), Lin Geng Xin (林更新), Tong Da Wei (佟大為) and Peng Guan Ying (彭冠英). With a cast of A-listed stars, many fans are excited to see how the character relationship will develop.

Liu Yifei’s career continues to grow after starring in a string of successful dramas including A Dream of Splendor <夢華錄>, and Meet Yourself <去有風的地方>. After winning the 2023 Weibo popularity award, Liu Yifei received many casting calls and finally signed up to star in Rose’s Tale.

Adapted from a romance novel penned by Hong Kong writer Yi Shu (亦舒), the drama tells the life of the heroine and her relationships starting from her school days and ultimately her marriage. Liu Yifei’s character meets various important male figures at every stage of her life and each encounter brings her inspiration and growth.

While little information has been released on the roles of Liu Yifei’s male co-stars, fans are excited to see Taiwanese heartthrob Wallace on the casting list. The actor last made a surprise cameo in 2021’s drama Light the Night <華燈初上> and fans are looking forward to seeing the star make an official return to the small screen after his marriage.

With over 20 years of acting experiences, Wallace had already worked with many of the Chinese hottest actresses including Yang Mi (楊冪) The Great Craftsman <築夢情緣 >, Zhao Liying (趙麗穎) in The Journey of Flower <花千骨> and Liu Shishi (劉詩詩) in The Imperial Doctress (女醫·明妃傳). With the Rose’s Tale in production, Wallace will get to work with another China’s popular actress.
