Louis Koo Produces “The Garfield Movie”
A big animation fan, Louis Koo (古天樂) had jointly produced The Mitchells vs. the Machines last year. It earned a nomination at the Academy Awards for Best Animation and while the movie did not win, the nomination is affirmation of his hard work. Continuing to collaborate with Hollywood, Louis is also one of the producers for The Garfield Movie.
Slated for May 2024 release, The Garfield Movie features the voices of Samuel L. Jackson and Chris Pratt as Vic and Garfield respectively. When the film released its first trailer recently, Hong Kong viewers noticed Louis Koo’s name popped up in the producer credits.
Louis expressed his happiness to finance the movie, “I’m very happy to be the producer of this movie, as Garfield is a cartoon character that has accompanied many people from childhood to adulthood. This movie also witnesses the growth of Garfield and his family.”
