Louis Koo Receives 8 Stitches for Eye Injury

While filming an action scene in Dynasty Warriors <真．三國無雙>, Louis Koo (古天樂) injured his right eye with his own weapon. Blood vessels in his eye were ruptured, which resulted in eight stitches for the 47-year-old actor.

At a Michael Kors promotion today, Louis kept his sunglasses on throughout the event. His representative asked the media to not use flash while taking photos.

“It hurts even when I blink,” said Louis. Since his retina was not harmed, his vision was not affected. The stitches will be removed in ten days, but complete recovery may take up to four weeks. Asked if he will halt his current projects due to his eye injury, Louis said, “I won’t stop working for now. I’ll wait and see [how the situation is after stitches are removed]”.

Louis’ injury took place in Mainland China, but he returned to Hong Kong for medical followup. While the on location filming in China has wrapped up, Louis is expected to travel to another destination to continue filming for Dynasty Warriors, a movie adapted from the Japanese fantasy game.
