Max Zhang Doesn’t Want Ada Choi to Die Yet
Ada Choi (蔡少芬), Ruco Chan (陳展鵬), and Eric Tsang (曾志偉) were invited to a ribbon cutting ceremony for the grand opening of an investment company earlier. Ada exuded confidence in her white tube dress, and exclaimed that she has made many good investments throughout her life, including finding a good husband, Max Zhang (张晋)!
The mother of two revealed that her husband does not know how to invest and leaves all the family finances for her to handle. Ada said her husband’s lax attitude towards their finances irritates her. “He just doesn’t care. So I would once in a while tell him about what I’ve recently invested in and how I’m going to do it. The only thing he would ask me is if I’d said my prayers yet. I would say yes, and then he’d be like ‘Okay, then.’”
Ada said she recently heard about the news of how two Australian children who were sent to the orphanage because they were unable to retrieve their parents’ money after they passed away. “I am always flying around, and that is also quite dangerous. One day I told my husband that if something unfortunate does happen to me, he should take care of our funds and I taught him how. Then he told me, ‘Don’t die yet! Handle all our funds first before dying!’”
Ada’s good friend, mainland Chinese actress Betty Sun (孙俪), came under media scrutiny when she gave birth to her second child in Hong Kong last week, with speculation that she may be penalized for the One Child Policy in China. Ada said, “I don’t know the situation, but it’s most important to see both the mother and daughter in good health! I haven’t seen her daughter, but I’m sure she’s gorgeous! Just look at me and my husband’s products!” She added with a laugh.
Eric Tsang Supports Flora Chan
The Never Dance Alone <女人俱樂部> producer stepped up to defend Flora Chan (陳慧珊), who reportedly displayed insufferable diva attitude on the set of the TVB drama and has been avoiding promotion tour obligations because she was not satisfied with the series. Eric Tsang defended, “Please do not misunderstand. We had a great time collaborating with each other. She is very focused on school and her exams. She is very evil in the series. I really admire her!”

This Max character is pretty pathetic as a parent/father/husband if he truly said “‘Don’t die yet! Handle all our funds first before dying!” and for Ada to handle everything. It should be a joint effort handling the family’s financical future especially if Ada, god forbid, becomes a victim of an accident before all financial matters are completed.
It shows he trust her and her judgment. Very rare for men these days to let his wife handle the money. It is a virtue and he was only joking. Utah shows how important she is to him.
I agree with Funn. Usually women will handle their husband’s finances. And it’s something both Max n Ada are comfortable with. I don’t see a prob there. And both are godly ppl. Ada brought Max to become a Christian and now it sounds like he’s the spiritual leader in the family.
Its just showing he’s not controlling person and he’s not a money person. Mens like to keep their eyes on the money these days. Hard to find this type of men now days.
I agree my mum is exactly like Ada. She handle all the money at home. Hard to find guys like that these days!! Ada is very lucky. Max is a person that love to joke around!!
You all are missing my point. I never stated that he did not trust her but rather his total reliance on her to handle all financial matters is asinine. It should be paired that both knows and understand their financial standing and can handle any issues if one is not capable. Like I said, if she had a stroke, car accident or whatever where she loses her mental faculties, then what? Is he capable enough to handle it on the run or does he lose precious time to read up on it and understand the current situation? Since he is relying on her to handle the finances, I am assuming he does not have financial planners, legal advisors etc.
It is not true that men usually let women handle the finances. I have seen the men do that more,especially if he were the breadwinner. One of my brothers allows his wife to handle all of the finances too. But my other brother and his wife are each financially independent. It just varies depending on the couple.
I watched the video interview and Ada Choi seems quite lighthearted about this and to a certain extent in a joking manner about the “don’t dieeee!” part. It shows that they both trust each other to be comfortable discussing these things publicly.

Yea,the title is misleading and we should never joke about dying. It is sad that those of us who,are still living take life for granted. It is easy to die but hard to live.
