Meet the Miss Hong Kong 2024 Contestants

After several rounds of interviews, 15 Miss Hong Kong 2024 contestants were selected. To promote the upcoming pageant, TVB released a promotional video and official photos introducing the contestants. The Miss Hong Kong hopefuls had the chance to showcase their personalities and gave the audience a small snippet about their character traits.

The youngest within the pageant pool is 18-year-old Jessie Chan (陳紫佟). A current student, Jessie stood out for her cute personality and youthful charm. Another standout contestant is 23-year-old Ellyn Ngai (倪樂琳), who was touted as a Michelle Reis (李嘉欣) look-alike. During her interview, Ellyn shared one of her favorite things to do was sleeping. Urging the general public to be more at ease and relaxed, Ellyn said, “I am a long sleeper. In high school, there was a time when I slept for more than 20 hours. I am lazy about this trait and want to encourage Hong Kong people to combine work and sleep.”

Standing at 5 feet 8 inches, 21-year-old Amina Yeung (楊梓瑤) is currently a student at Beijing Film Academy and aspires to be an actress. She shared, “In 2021, I watched a television series starring Crystal Liu Yifei (劉亦菲). Afterward, I really wanted to become an actress. I am thankful to my mother for being supportive.”

On the older spectrum was 26-year-old Kanis Yu (俞可程), who is an engineering surveyor. To prepare for the competition, Kanis lost 14 pounds in two months. “Although it was really hard, I am the type of person who will get something done once I put my mind to it. No matter how this competition ends, it is enough that I have worked hard and tried my best.”

With her sweet smile, 24-year-old Tracy Chung (鍾翠詩) is full of confidence. She expressed, “I think of myself as someone who is very brave and confident. I can represent Hong Kong as the goodwill ambassador and promote Hong Kong and all it has to offer.”

Touted as a Jacky Cai (蔡潔) lookalike, Dolores Ching (程姜月) gives off the girl-next-door vibe. On her strengths, Dolores said, “I am very personable and can bring a sense of closeness with the audience. I also feel that I am someone who can handle stress well.”

In her promotional video, 25-year-old Rose Chan (陳甜甜) shared, “I feel that I am someone who is loving and brave, yet cautious. In life, we are bound to face many challenges. However, I never back down. I believe these challenges can help me become a better person.”

Born in Nanking, 21-year-old Jiwen Qin (秦冀雯) studied abroad in Canada before moving to Hong Kong. Despite this, she is able to communicate clearly in Cantonese. Jiwen shared, “I went abroad to study when I was young, so I had to depend on myself for a lot of things. Throughout that time, I continued to grow and eventually become more mature and strong.”

Last but not least, is 22-year-old Kerry Lo (盧凱怡). Full of confidence, Kerry expressed, “When I am on stage, I don’t tend to be nervous or scared. I enjoy the feeling of being on stage.”
