Michael Miu Talks Filming “Line Walker: The Prelude”
After a spin in Shenzhen and Bangkok, the cast of Line Walker: The Prelude <使徒行者2>, also known as Line Walker 2, returned to Hong Kong to continue its principal photography. The crime drama, produced by So Man-chung (蘇萬聰), is the prequel to Jazz Boon’s (文偉鴻) Line Walker television drama, which aired in 2014.
A few days ago, the cast including Michael Miu (苗僑偉), Priscilla Wong (黃翠如), Benjamin Yuen (袁偉豪), Pakho Chau (周柏豪), Louisa Mak (麥明詩), and more showed up at the film site in Central to shoot an outdoor scene. Michael reprises his role as Cheuk Sir, who is in charge of the Criminal Investigation Bureau. The aforementioned scene features Cheuk Sir surveying his team of trained undercover agents.
As the big brother of the team, Michael praised his junior actors proudly and said, “They are police officers!” (Have they been behaving?) “They’re all experienced actors!” (Has shooting the drama been difficult?) “Not at all. We have a large cast so we all share the screen time!”
The crime drama is action-packed. Michael shared that they have already shot a good portion of their action scenes in Thailand. However, most of the drama’s action will take place in Hong Kong, and they have a major gunfight sequence coming up.
Michael then offered more details about the drama, sharing that he has many scenes with Jessica Hsuan (宣萱) and Moses Chan (陳豪). “It’s not really a love triangle but there is an ambiguous relationship,” he said.
The 58-year-old actor, husband to actress Jaime Chik (戚美珍), had to work on Valentine’s Day this week, but he did manage to get off work in time to eat dinner with his wife.
“Had a meal and gave her flowers that night,” said Michael simply. “[I] never get tired of giving her flowers.” (Did you buy the flowers after work?) “Nope! I got them ready first thing!”
