Michael Miu Throws Surprise Party for Jamie Chik’s 51st Birthday
Jamie Chik (戚美珍) turned 51 years old on January 5, 2013. For this special occasion, her husband, Michael Miu (苗僑偉), planned a secret surprise party for her on the evening of January 4. Guests who attended the sweet event included Louis Yuen (阮兆祥), Michael Tse (謝天華), Nancy Wu (胡定欣), Oscar Leung (梁烈唯), Lawrence Ng (吳啟華), and Joe Ma (馬德鐘).
There was a reason why the party was held on this day. When the date, 201314 is said aloud in Chinese, it sounds like “love you for life”. Michael decided that this special day also served as a chance to celebrate their marriage of 22 years.
Michael and Jamie’s son and daughter were also enthusiastic about the party, and had helped out their father. Jamie laughed and revealed that her husband and children appeared very secretive. They told her they were heading out, and that it was better for her to stay home. When she asked them what she should do for dinner, they replied that it was best for her to just eat alone and rest.
At the party, Michael’s love for Jamie was apparent through a sweet kiss in front of everyone. When Jamie was asked what her birthday wish is, she replied, “Good health for the entire family!” Michael expressed that he wishes for social harmony and less gossip within the entertainment industry.

their kids are quite good looking for regular people (if we don’t compare them to their parents). we just probably have high expectations for them because their parents are so well known for being good looking

True, both their children (the daughter’s name is Phoebe and the son’s name is Murphy) may not look as ‘beautiful’ compared to their parents, but both are still pretty good-looking compared to other kids their age.
when they were little though – I remember back in the 90s, when Michael would occasionally go on TVB’s variety shows and such, he would bring his family along….Super Trio especially, Michael would be up there playing games (with Eric Tsang poking fun at him) while Jamie and the kids would sit in the audience cheering him on (and laughing at him…hehe) – there was one segment where Murphy went up there too….it was cute!
