Michael Tse Angrily Reprimands Magazine As Despicable
Michael Tse’s (謝天華) drama, Lives of Omission <潛行狙擊>, is currently airing in Hong Kong recently. This caused his popularity to increase rapidly and thus making him a news target of the paparazzi.
Yesterday, a magazine revealed that he and his wife, Tina, got into a dispute over the issue of conceiving babies. The magazine reported that Tina quit smoking, alcohol and night life activities in preparation. However, Michael still repeatedly went clubbing and drank alcohol. Towards this report, Michael angrily criticized it as nonsensical reporting while Tina pointed out that those reports were baseless and a total personal attack.
Michael’s Wife Doesn’t Withstand Any Form of Personal Attacks
An incensed Michael ranted on popular Chinese social microblogging site, Weibo, “It’s really despicable; the paparazzi couldn’t follow up with any interesting leads and came up with their own, nonsensically reporting, stooping to any unscrupulous means to push their magazine sales. My reader friends, please use your shrewd minds and see their evil misconducts clearly. Regards, Michael Tse.”
Tina also ruffled up and said, “Adding in details of their own to the truth is well within my expectations. However, I absolutely cannot withstand any baseless personal attacks and defamation!” Michael accepted a phone interview and said that he has no issues about the press writing about him since this was part and parcel of his job as an artist. However, he drew the line at involving his family members. Michael also thanked his friends very much for supporting him and Tina. He professed that he believed the public’s eyes were sharp enough (to distinguish the truth).
Friends From the Entertainment Circle Leave Supportive Messages
Michael Tse’s good friends, Michael Miu (苗僑偉) and his wife, Jamie Chik (戚美珍), Maggie Cheung Ho-Yee (張可頣), Cherrie Ying (應采兒), Gigi Fu (傅明憲) and others left supportive messages on Weibo for him one after another.
Michael Miu and Jaime Chik: “The Tina we know is definitely a 100% good wife, attentive and thoughtful to every detail. Both of you are extremely compatible. Just disregard them, support you guys!”
Maggie Cheung Ho Yee: “Laughing is getting fitter than the old Michael Tse I used to know, as well as getting more radiant. After the movie premiere, we went to eat supper with the cast and crew. Michael ate cautiously and only ate the light dishes. He also told me that he fell in love with running recently. His lifestyle is too healthy for words!”
Gigi Fu: “Support you! Don’t be angry, just had dinner with you and Tina last Saturday and after eating. You guys immediately went home. Friends know it!”

Well, weibo in this case has its upside. That’s what gossip magazine does. Ignore ignore ignore
Yes Michael, I am a great supporter of yours. Just ignore all the stupid nasty comments and gossip. The paparazzi are probably getting desperate for news and so they just think of any old stuff to write. Chin up and keep on “laughing”!!!
Actually this report isn’t that bad compared to one that accused him of beating his wife. It turned out she went to the hospital for feeling sick while scuba diving.
I mean, it says his wife doesn’t party anymore but he does. So the truth is… they both still party?
I guess he has to worry about his image more now. And this is no Laughing matter.
“I guess he has to worry about his image more now. And this is no Laughing matter.”
LOL!
“And this is no Laughing matter”
Ha ha! If Laughing is supposed to be dead and yet can be revived, Michael, you can laugh again!
That’s what happens when you’re popular, Michael! Just ignore the media! They have the most creative imaginations to make up stories like that!
hes been waiting all these years from being chan ho nams goon for this fame and now he’s complaining paparazzi’s? what a laugh!
In the realm of gangsters on film, isn’t Chan Ho Nam a rather boring gang leader? lol Just a thought, though I still like the character.
He has already said he only draws a line when it’s his family members who’re being written about, I don’t see anything wrong with his complaint.
And, why the hell, is TVB not producing full theme songs nowadays… that’s so stingy… -1 for TVB, +1 for everybody else.
Rather not unless they find proper singers
I’m sick of having to replay an episode of The Lives of Bloody Omission in order to listen to the song… plus its a little short. For such a ‘promoted’ series, I would have thought they’d write a full song.
I think there should be a full version of the theme song, just not released yet…? It’s unlikely that the subtheme song has a full version while the theme song hasn’t…
Ok. I found the full song. I retract my statement. +1 for TVB.
Total points so far: 0 TVB – 1 everybody else
Laugh it off if it’s not true. I wondered why they got so mad though was it because it’s true? Why getting so mad over something that’s so dumb. Afterall Michael is a well known celeb in HK what do you expect when you became an artist?
Are you saying he shouldn’t get mad when it’s not just himself being written about, but his family members as well? Any negative article can possibly lose an artiste public support, which may harm his career. There will always tend to be people who believe in this rubbish, and as long as just ONE person believes it, it can cause great damage. Just look at your response, for example… I think it’s great he’s able to speak up on weibo, and has well-known and respected friends who support him and lend weight to what he says.
It think it is rather cruel to drag his wife on the tabloid. He accepted the fame side effect, but very clearly, the tabloid should just stay away from his family.
I think Hong Kong law are pretty bad for artist and privacy. Hope the tabloid can just tone down their imaginary writing.

TVB too cheapo MV.
