Michelle Wai Seduces Carlos Chan in New Movie
The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in a major loss of employment for many in the entertainment industry. In an effort to help reduce unemployment, Albert Yeung‘s (楊受成) Emperor Motion Pictures and Louis Koo‘s (古天樂) One Cool Film Production Limited will be collaborating to film and produce 10 movies in the next two years, one of which is Getting Married <不日成婚>. Starring Carlos Chan (陳家樂) and Michelle Wai (衛詩雅), the movie held its blessing ceremony recently.
Collaborating for the third time, Carlos joked that he never had a happy ending with Michelle in any of their previous works. This time, however, the on-screen couple may finally have the opportunity for a happy ending. Sharing that there will be a scene where she does pole dancing to seduce Carlos, Michelle said, “For this scene, I will go to the gym every day no matter how busy I am with work. I have to work out and tone my body!” In order to solicit a genuine response from Carlos, the director will not allow the duo to rehearse the scene together. As Carlos has never seen such a revealing side of Michelle, he is worried that he may become overly excited.
Despite the poor economy lately, the two production companies will invest approximately $10 million Hong Kong dollars into the film. Emperor Motion Pictures’ Chairman, Albert Yeung, expressed that he wanted to film a light-hearted movie in order to cheer up its viewers in the midst of such unhappy times. Slated for Luna New Year release, Albert Yeung said, “Due to the effects of the pandemic, the movie theaters are suffering 80 to 90% percent losses. This cannot be helped though, as there are no new films being shown. There are no big budget films from Hong Kong or the United States.”
