Miss Hong Kong 2015: Louisa Mak Continues to Lead Online Poll

The finals for Miss Hong Kong 2015 will be held on August 30, 2015. Hong Kong media company, On.cc released a Facebook-based poll earlier to gauge the hot favorites in this year’s pageant.

After revealing the latest results of the first round of voting on On.cc, #1 Louisa Mak (麥明詩) led with 1466 likes. Contestants #10 Kristi Chan (陳靜儀) and #3 Ann Lo (羅丹虹) grabbed the second and third spots with 746 likes and 699 likes respectively. While it is not surprising that Louisa is a favorite due to her impressive law background, other popular candidate #4 Ada Pong (龐卓欣) did not even make it into the top five positions.

Fortunately, the second round of voting begins today where netizens will be allowed to vote for their favorite contestant based on the contestants’ witty statements. Louisa once again proves that she has beauty and the brains. After suffering form a wardrobe malfunction during the swimsuit round where Louisa accidentally exposed her pubic hair, the Cambridge graduate quickly rebutted, “Hair growth is natural. This was an accident and I’ll let this be a lesson learned. This is experience gained!”

Contestant #7 Sylvia Ng (吳佩欣), remains optimistic over her petite physique. Sylvia felt lucky that she had drawn the #7 and gets to stand in the middle for press photos.

Although #11 Amanda Yeung (楊苡汶) lacks publicity in comparison to Louisa and Ada, she managed to gain support during the online voting. When asked if she feels lonely and dry without a boyfriend, Amanda quickly commented, “If that happens – just drink a lot of water.”

On.cc will consolidate the results from the three rounds of its online poll and announce the favorite contestant in Miss Hong Kong 2015..
