Miss Hong Kong Contestants in Swimsuit Segment

Meeting the media in their pageant swimsuits on August 15, the fifteen contestants of 2024 Miss Hong Kong Pageant had a chance to flaunt their figures and showcase their individualities.

Among them, contestant no. 9, student Rose Chan (陳甜甜) stole the spotlight, while fan favorites, no. 2 Ellyn Ngai (倪樂琳), an influencer and no. 11 Emily Leung (梁嘉莹), a university student also appeared in top form. Meanwhile no. 8, ballroom teacher and dancer Kerry Lo (盧凱怡) showed increasing confidence and appeared to be catching up in the competition.

Ellyn and Emily admitted feeling the nerves about wearing swimsuits on stage for the first time, and refrained from eating to present themselves in their best condition. Emily said that she is fond of her bodily proportions, and feels confident about her long legs and straight shoulders.

She mentioned that she has been avoiding the sun and using facial masks diligently to improve and lighten her skin tone. Ellyn also shared that she would not be critical of herself and feels that she has a great figure. However, she revealed that she has a small pimple outbreak due to the lack of sleep and is working hard to adapt so as not to disappoint her supporters.

No. 12 Tracy Chung (鍾翠詩), a university graduate and No. 13 Dolores Ching (程姜月), a retail store owner, both have slender waistlines at 21 and 22-inches respectively. Responding to recent comments that she has “dropped wattage” (Cantonese slang meaning “below par”), Tracy explained that the intense filming schedule has been tiring; “Jacky Cai (潔)-lookalike” Dolores, who accidentally hurt her waist while practicing for her talent segment, shared that she has recovered well after seeing a TCM doctor, but feels slightly unsteady on her feet due to motion sickness and low blood sugar.
