Moon Lau’s Health Scare Causes Breakthrough in Relationship with Adrian Chau?

Moon Lau (劉佩玥) attended a promotional event for TVB drama, Life on the Line <跳躍生命線>, at a primary school today. Earlier, the 29-year-old star worried her fans when she announced her lymph nodes and immune system were having health issues.

The actress said she went to see the doctor after realizing the area under her chin was swollen with a hard bump. “Before I was always swollen and I didn’t know why,” she revealed. “Then I saw in the ultrasound that there were three swollen lymph nodes sticking together. Even though I’m not a doctor, I was able to see that there were three things attached together in the monitor.”

The doctor then inserted a needle into the swollen area to extract some tissue samples for a laboratory test. Moon jokingly asked the doctor to use the needle to extract the whole thing out. “At the time, I was so nervous, I thought I’d make a joke to relax,” the actress shared.

While Moon was waiting for the lab results to come out, she was so worried she even cried. Fortunately, the tissue was benign, and the swelling went down, however, there is still a swollen lymph node on her neck. “The doctor told me to rest more, but I can’t control it when I’m filming dramas,” Moon said.

Luckily, filming for her upcoming TVB series, Wife Interrupted <救妻同學會>, which is set to broadcast in November, is about to wrap up. Moon’s next drama, The Exorcist’s Meter 2 <降魔的2>, does not start filming until next year thus she will take the time to rest.

She expressed she’ll also be more conscious of her eating habits due to rumored boyfriend, Adrian Chau’s (周志文) pointers. “Adrian has always been concerned about me because we are great friends,” Moon said. “In addition to messages and calls, he would also tell me in person to eat blander, not to drink so much bubble tea, and to consume less salt and sugar. Because he is very healthy himself.”

When reporters asked if his thoughtfulness will gain him any brownie points, Moon replied, “Our relationship has always been really good. I don’t need to add points; he’s always been very good to me.”
