Moses Chan Is Experienced In Doing Difficult Stunts
Moses Chan (陳豪), Maggie Shiu (邵美琪), and Li Shing Cheong (李成昌) were at Jordan on Sunday morning to film a scene for their TVB drama Perfect Traitor <完美叛侶>. The scene is about Moses who watches Li Shing Cheong jump off from an apartment building.
Moses does not have many action scenes in the drama, but he is definitely a very experienced actor when it comes to doing dangerous stunts. The 44-year-old actor, who debuted as a film actor, said, “I did anything you can think of. Explosions, car crashes… I’ve even tried hanging off of a 80 to 90-floor building without any wires. Just everything.”
Despite his experiences, Moses said he has gotten a lot more hesitant about doing stunt work. “Honestly, I have a family now. I do hope to raise my kids, see them grow, and support my family. I have to be more careful. As an actor, we do hope to make stunts look as realistic as possible, but safety comes first. If these stunts aren’t life-threatening, I would definitely try to do them myself. If I don’t feel confident enough, I guess I’ll have to leave the rest to the stunt performers.”
Nonetheless, Moses expressed that stunts nowadays have gotten much safer for actors. “Now everything is about safety. You rarely use real guns or explosives anymore.”
Will Moses consider doing a drama or movie that is about a sensitive topic? “It depends on how the topic is approached. I do consider myself as a bold actor. If it’s artful, I’ll definitely do it, but if it’s strictly for commercial purposes, I’ll have to think about it.”
