Moses Chan Successfully Won In-Laws’ Approval
Moses Chan (陳豪) revealed that he has finally won his father-in-law’s approval! Moses returned to Hong Kong on July 23 after attending his wedding banquet in Toronto, Canada. The actor spent a fulfilling week with wife Aimee Chan (陳茵媺), and local fans spotted the loving couple shopping for baby clothes. Although Moses continues to keep mum about baby news, he appears cheerful whenever reporters bring up the subject.
Moses arrived in Hong Kong at 5 a.m. this morning. He was in an excellent mood, telling reporters that he is “very good” and kept a smile on his face. Earlier, rumors surfaced that Aimee’s father, Sam Chan (陳炎森), was unhappy with Moses because he got Aimee pregnant before the two were officially married. The reports further claimed that Moses gifted Mr. Chan with $5 million HKD and won his in-laws over. When asked if he finally earned Mr. Chan’s approval, Moses happily replied, “Yes!”
Moses was also said to have remained in Toronto for a week to watch over renovations at his new 6,000 square feet home in Richmond Hill, a town in the Greater Toronto Area. Moses quickly denied the news, saying that Aimee’s father actually owns the Richmond Hill residence and has lived there for quite some time.
Some say that Aimee plans to give birth in Hong Kong. When asked, Moses remained vague, saying he will discuss it later. He was asked about the baby’s gender and whether he had accompanied Aimee to doctor’s appointments. Moses continued to dodge the questions, telling reporters that he does not have any news to share. When a reporter pointed out that Aimee should be 4 months pregnant, and that the couple is now free to talk about the baby, Moses said, “Everyone knows already, but I don’t want to discuss the details.” He added that he has not chosen a name for the baby, and broke into hearty laughter when a reporter suggested that he name the child after his beloved coffee.
While in Toronto, some local fans spotted Moses and Aimee at the Yorkdale Shopping Centre browsing baby clothes. Moses admitted that he bought a few baby clothes, though remained silent when asked if he was shopping specifically for pastel blue outfits.

Ummm, Aimee is said to be 4 months pregnant. How can she deliver in August? Doesn’t add up?
Jenny,
The error has been corrected. Judging by Aimee’s wedding banquet photos, she should be in early stages of pregnancy. Four months sounds about right.
If Moses didn’t get her pregnant first, you think her father will approve of her marrying a TVB actor?……doubt it……The father-in-law had no choice but to nod his head when daughter is four months pregnant…….kind of scheming don’t you think?
Aimee’s father never objected her daughter dating Moses in the first place. If he did not like Moses or her daughter dating a TVB actor, he would have already said “NO”.
I doubt the child Aimee is carrying is Moses’s.
6000 sq ft house? my goodness no wonder AIMEE Chan could win the HK CROWN. No offence but there were better contenders nevertheless I wish them the best!
Aimee’s father has been a owner of a decent restaurant for almost 20 years. Not surprised if he has a house of 6000 sq. ft. A lot of people in Toronto can afford to have a house of 3,000 sq. ft. if they bought their house more than 15 years ago. We all know that Aimee comes from a well-off family and not a poor family.
Money can help to a certain extent in beauty pageant shows of course, but it does not always work. Aimee lost in her competition in Miss Chinese-Toronto Pageant Show in 2004.
I think it is a bit sad if he had to use money to win his in laws over if that rumour is true.
HeTieShou,
Aimee’s father’s restaurant seems to be a very nice establishment. Chinese banquet halls can rake in a lot of money:

Given that Aimee’s family is well off, it is natural to consider that their son-in-law has the financial capabilities to provide a comfortable life for Aimee. I think it’s natural for all parents to worry about the same issue, but whether they care primarily about money or place value over other qualities.
Judging by Moses’ recent responses in interviews, in expressing his desire to venture into business, it’s apparent that he may feel a bit of stress in planning out his future to ensure a stable stream of income. This may be a result of marrying Aimee, whose family is well off.
Thanks for the info Jayne, but that is just so traditional thinking. It is not the old days anymore where it is only the guy that brings home the bacon. The women also have that responsibility now as well. If you go after a guy just for money, I don’t think that is right.
“The reports further claimed that Moses gifted Mr. Chan with $5 million HKD and won his in-laws over. ”
You know this para is offensive. As if he bought them with money.
“The reports further claimed that Moses gifted Mr. Chan with $5 million HKD and won his in-laws over. ”

The above comment is an insult to both Aimee’s father and Aimee. Aimee’s father was not selling his daughter to Moses for HK$5 million, and Aimee is not a piece of merchandize @ the price of HK$5 million.
I find it hard to believe the parents would not approve… after all, it’s Moses Chan.
Of coz the father will like Moses. Such a big water fish and paid so much money on betrothal gifts. All boils down to money. Money makes the world go round.
