Myolie Wu is Open to Working With TVB Again
Currently eight months pregnant, Myolie Wu (胡杏兒) visited Nancy Wu (胡定欣) on the filming set of Big White Duel 2 <白色強人II> sparking speculations as to whether she has a cameo role in the drama. Although taking care of her children is her immediate concern, Myolie expressed interest to work with TVB again if the opportunity comes up.
Since Nancy will be traveling to Shenzhen to film Big White Duel 2 and will be quarantined after she returns, Myolie stopped by to catch up with her good friend. As Myolie’s due date is at the end of March, she would have given birth before Nancy’s return.
Preparing for her impending delivery, Myolie has been primarily home taking care of her children since attending CCTV’s New Year Gala in February. Asked to confirm whether she had earned $3 million Chinese yuan while working in China for three months, Myolie smiled and only said that she did earn a little more money before the baby’s arrival, so she can spend more time with her children after giving birth.
Gaining about 20 pounds so far, Myolie craves craves sushi and beef but is careful to eat only fully-cooked sushi. As she already has two boys, did the actress already find out the gender of her baby yet? Myolie remained tight-lipped and said she will announce the gender when the baby is born.
She will wait until after her post-pregnancy confinement is over first and lose her baby weight before making any work plans. When asked whether she is interested in filming for TVB again, she replied that she would definitely welcome working with her “maiden home.” The actress said, “Money is not important–the most important thing is that we are both happy, and the role is right.”

It would be great to see her come shoot for TVB once more but not sure we’ll be expecting her anytime soon now with 3 kids.

Well, why say ‘no’ of the terms & condition are right?
Eh… don’t care for Myolie but it makes sense for her to return to TVB. Quite frankly, it’s just too hard for TVB or any HK artists to break into mainland China. Every one there is young, pretty, plastic lol, and can speak Mandarin fluently as their native tongue. I watched Myolie in that one actor’s competition recently where she won best performer and I thought she was phenomenal there but I see that caliber as an exception and not her standard, unfortunately, based on her previous work. It’ll be interesting to see how she fares if and when she makes a comeback to TVB. It’ll be a career regression of course, but when you have no other market to go to, you have no choice.
Btw, I wish Nancy Wu would STOP cutting her hair short like this. She has a very serious face already and this haircut just makes her look even more stern and less approachable. She’s doing what Charmaine did… cut her hair and kept it short ever since. Neither look good with this short hairstyle in my opinion.
