Netflix’s First Chinese-Language Reality TV Show Starring Jay Chou Premieres March 21
Netflix continues to expand its global footprints by producing and releasing its first Chinese-language reality TV Show J-Style Trip <周遊記>, which stars Taiwanese singer Jay Chou (周杰倫).
The relaxing travelogue will feature the singer venturing in various areas around the globe, including Paris, Australia’s Gold Coast, Vienna, Tokyo, Singapore, and more. The show was filmed without a script, and is meant to be a treat for Jay’s fans, who get to see how their idol freely interact with his friends as they travel together across the world.
Celebrity guests include Nicholas Tse (謝霆鋒), JJ Lin (林俊傑), Jam Hsiao (蕭敬騰), Yohji Yamamoto (山本耀司), and more. Each episode will feature a different guest. Regular cast members will include Jay’s makeup artist Funky Tu (杜國璋), magician Norman Chen (陳冠霖), and magician Will Tsai (蔡威澤), who had appeared on America’s Got Talent.
Fans of Jay will also be treated with nostalgia, as Jay will assign each location he visits with a theme song, chosen from his collection of his well-known classics.
J-Style Trip will premiere on March 21 on Netflix, and will be available to stream in 190 countries.
