Netizens See Seo Ye Ji’s Apology as Insincere
It’s Okay to Not Be Okay actress, Seo Ye Ji, was under fire for her behavior as a controlling girlfriend and bullying past. Despite denying the accusations in April 2021, the actress finally resurfaced 10 months later with an official apology.
The Korean actress’ past was dug up by netizens, who found that she was an obsessive and terrible girlfriend that was overly controlling of ex-boyfriend Kim Jun Hyun. She forbade him to film intimate scenes in 2018 drama Time alongside Seohyun, which affected the production schedule.
Aside from her relationship issues, Ye Ji was said to have been a bully during her school days and also forged her academic background. Labeled a diva, she cursed and treated former assistants like slaves.
Keeping a low profile since the rumors damaged her image, Ye Ji finally issued an official apology for her past actions 10 months later. Taking time to self-reflect on her past wrongdoings, she admitted that everything in the past was due to her immaturity. Promising to showcase her matured side from now on, she apologized for letting everyone down. Not convinced that her apology note was sincere, some netizens claimed that she only apologized because she needed to prepare for her comeback drama in June.
Ye Ji’s new drama, Eve, is speculated to premiere in June. As the female lead, she allegedly needed to make amends with the public before the drama airs.
With the actress’ evident motive questioned, Korean netizens were displeased by her actions. Although some admitted that she does possess great acting abilities, they were unable to forget and forgive her negative past.
On the other hand, international fans are more accepting of her apology and excited for Ye Ji’s return.

She have money and power behind her to still support her in the industry… Maybe the online opinion from netizens may not reflect the drama viewers. It will be interesting to see the drama ratings. If the ratings are high, she will not the first actor who survive a scandal.
True and there are different forms of publicity. She is probably coming with authentic image of tough and b***y personality you don’t wanna mess up with. Not all images are squishy clean. This might suit her better. Always surprised how people believe that image projected is actual persona, it is all show bizz nothing is real people.

read the article and just see how entitled she is. She parked her car and blocked neighbour’s car. This one does not deserve sympathy because she is no victim. She and her family victimizes others
@noodlez I totally agree with you. This person is very bossy and controlling, and is also a spoiled, entitled, bratty narcissist. To put it clearly, she is not a nice person. More or less a Karen.
That animal need to learn to be a good person before becoming a public figure.
@GIAHT, I for one could not agree with you more. Honest descriptuon, and very, very well said.
