New Speculations Behind Zhang Ziyi’s Divorce

Zhang Ziyi (章子怡) and Wang Feng (汪峰) announced their divorce in October 2023, ending their eight-year relationship. There have been many rumors surrounding the reason behind the separation. Zhuo Wei (卓偉), otherwise known as the number 1 paparazzi in China, shared more details on his messaging group.

Zhuo Wei allegedly heard from Zhang Ziyi’s friends that Wang Feng had cheated with another woman. When Zhang Ziyi allegedly learned of the affair from her brother, she held it together and did not cry. She immediately asked Wang Feng for a divorce. Since Zhang Ziyi had met a good confidante who was able to guide her career choices, Wang Feng lost his value.

In May, which was seven months after his divorce, Wang Feng announced he was dating influencer North Forest (森林北). Although he claimed to have met her two months after the divorce, many netizens suspect otherwise.

Online reactions were not surprised by the cheating rumors which surfaced. Others were troubled by the rumors without proof and felt Zhuo Wei would soon be sued for libel.

Another theory behind Zhang Ziyi Wang Feng’s divorce was due to money matters, as claimed by Taiwanese paparazzi Ryan Ko (葛斯齊). He claimed Wang Feng was a gambler and his past girlfriends and ex-wives have all complained about his habit.
