Nicky Wu and Liu Shishi Say Their Marriage is Solid
Meeting on the set of hit drama Scarlet Heart <步步驚心>, Nicky Wu (吳奇隆) and Liu Shishi (劉詩詩) fell in love and tied the knot in 2015. Raising their son together in Taiwan while slowing down their work levels, they have been regarded as the perfect couple in the entertainment industry. However, sudden divorce rumors surfaced last week, hinting that the two are on the way to splitsville.
On February 25, rumors claiming that Nicky and Shishi were filing for divorce surfaced, with the couple allegedly to officially inform the public in March.
Not too long after the speculations surfaced, Nicky changed his Weibo profile picture to a photo that showed off his wedding ring. Nicky and Liu Shishi also issued an official legal statement denying divorce speculations.
In their post, they wrote, “It’s our life. Originally, we weren’t planning to respond, but the rumors are now affecting our personal lives, family, and friends. Please don’t spread false rumors. Everything has been great all along – thank you for everyone’s concern.”
Taking further action, Nicky issued an official letter to the original author of the false news and claimed that the author has been defaming him, making up lies, fabricating love histories, as well as tarnishing his public image. Through the letter, Nicky requested that all posts be taken down and for the author to issue an immediate apology.

Marriage is between 2 people…they know better then anyone the state of their relationship. Those busybodies should just mind their own business…
I think these rumors started when he was found drinking from the same straw as his female assistant. But I still think Chinese netizens need to stop being so conservative, it’s not they were caught making out. the media always tend to exaggerate
I agree the media rats can be a pain in the butt, but there is always a lot of think about what they say. I agree a marriage is betweem the two spouses involved. Like I said before, a lot of these marriages are not what the public sees and hears. I must add, I find it laughable when these celebs say that the rumors cause their marriages or relationships to break down. No amount of false rumors can cause a loving, solid relationship to deteriorate. If anything, it will make their bond stronger to show the world they are a committed, happy and loving couple. Should they announce the end of their marriage, they will blame it on the media and netizend.
