Nicky Wu and Liu Shishi Spotted Out with Son

Netizens and fans alike were finally given a brief glimpse of Nicky Wu (吳奇隆) and Liu Shishi’s (劉詩詩) family life after welcoming their son, Bubu, in 2019.

On November 8, a netizen on Weibo shared two photos featuring Nicky and Shishi with their son at a cafe. One was of Shishi waiting at the counter for their order, and another was Nicky holding their son outside. For Bubu’s privacy, the netizen did not upload any clear photos featuring the one-year-old.

Nicky and Shishi met on the set of Scarlet Heart <步步驚心> in 2010. They tied the knot in January 2015 and held a wedding ceremony in Bali in March 2016. Their son, which they named “Bubu” in reference to “Bubu Jingxin” (Scarlet Heart’s pinyin title), was born in April 2019.

The couple have stayed on the down-low since their marriage and their son’s birth, making only occasional TV appearances. In a recent episode of Little Forest <奇妙小森林>, Nicky was asked if he would want a second child. He said, “That is not a decision by one person.”

He was then given the tough question of who he would choose between his wife or son. He said, “It doesn’t matter who is more important. They are both more important than me, and both need to be protected.”
