Nicky Wu, Cecilia Liu Welcome Arrival of Baby Boy
Today, 48-year-old Nicky Wu (吳奇隆) and 32-year-old Cecilia Liu (劉詩詩) confirmed the recent arrival of their son. Nicky wrote on social media, “Our baby has arrived. Both mother and baby are doing fine. Thanks everyone for your concern! Dearest Mommy, thanks for all your hard work!” Cecilia also added, “Little baby is extremely cute.”
Falling in love after filming Scarlet Heart <步步驚心> and dating for four years, Nicky and Cecilia kept their romance extremely low profile. They didn’t publicly announce their relationship until they were ready for marriage. After registering their marriage in 2015, the couple followed up with a romantic destination wedding in Bali, Indonesia.
Wanting to try for a baby, the couple slowed down their careers in recent years. Cecilia became successfully pregnant last year, reportedly after receiving IVF treatments in Los Angeles. Nicky’s mother was extremely pleased and shared that the couple was expecting a boy.
Earlier this year, the couple returned to Nicky’s hometown in Taiwan to await the arrival of their baby due to the escalating tax investigations targeted at A-list celebrities in Mainland China.

I am 34 years old my husband 35 years old are healthy, never smoke, hardly drink coffee or alcohol. We got married in 2017 and have been trying since. I have PCOS a type of female infertility that happens to girls even as young as 20. even with Chinese medicine,acupunture, hormone drugs, ultrasound and fertility clinic’s intervention I couldn’t get pregnant with IUI last year when I was 33 years old. My husband works out of town. Female egg is only available once a month for 24 hours and male sperm lives in female 3 to 5 days uterus. The thing is that the female environment has to be right environment for sperm to survive. Also uterine lining has to be right thickness and female tubes cannot be blocked. My fertility doc says he never thought we need IVF but as mentioned above instead of wasting another year trying we will just go straight to IVF since it has highest chance to get pregnancy and first IVF is free. For their situation it might be similar. You never know what is inside people’s body. Sperm has morbidity and sperm count as factor which is affected by smoking.

Good luck to you and if you cannot have kids, would you ever consider adoption? But of course many highly prefer to have their own.

Yes. Good luck to you Vortex123. I know a couple who tried IVF & everything for 7 years & nothing happened. They decided to let nature takes it course and then they have two kids a few years later. I also have a friend who had a tumor in her uterus when she was 17 & she is not able to have children until this day. She wanted to adopt, but her husband doesn’t want to do that. 🙁
@jjwong Nicky’s ex wife got pregnant after re-marrying. although Cecilia is only 32, making a baby requires 2 parties. after 4 years of marriage, it could be Nicky’s side has a problem.

It is not just the women but what about the guy? Age is also only one of factors. I have an uncle who married young but just could not have kids. He was naturally infertile for some reason. My aunt his wife already had a kid from her first marriage so it was not her issue when it came to fertility. Basically, it varies from couple to couple as each individual is different. You can be young and healthy but still be infertile.

Adoption costs $30k and you need to be married minimum of two or three years can’t remember the exact number. First IVF is free so cheaper than adoption. The thing with adoption you don’t know the kid background. The area I live in the best school is Catholic. I am buddist but my husband is catholic. With our own child my husband just need to show his own baptism certificate and our child can go to that school without being baptized so the child has a right to pick their religion. My husband doesn’t always come home because of his job and I can’t release the egg so it is our issue. If I go straight to adoption people would complain that I shouldn’t put too much effort into my job or should have gone to where my husband work so we can have our own child. It is okay if we live together everyday and try many years. The thing my job does give me stress during peak seasons so people already put blame on me that I am too stressed but I can’t quit my career goals. So adoption would make my life worst.
@jjwong apart from what everyone said, it could also be a multiple factors from both side. I know a couple who each side has a problem, one side is low sperm count, the other I forgot, but together, it makes them have only 5% chance of getting pregnant.
My partner and I tried for 1 year, and nothing. And we decided to check our fertility at the fertility clinic. I know a year is nothing, but I was 31, and my partner is a few years shy of 40, so instead of waiting around, checking and see our options is better than waiting around (we didn’t get to the clinic because 1 week before the appointment I got pregnant lol!)
Especially when you want to be able to spend quality time with your kid, you don’t want to wait until too late. So even if they can do it naturally, considering NW’s age, they might just want to speed up the process.
Hope the baby looks like Cecilia. Nicky is not much of a looker lol
So they went to Taiwan to give birth to avoid the tax investigations? Does that mean they are also guilty? disgusting they can just get away with not paying tax while the average joe is. It makes me think less of them but none of my business 🙂

Celebs think they are above the law sadly… but yet they cry and want the world to feel sorry for them when they get caught.

I don’t think LSS had anything plastic surgery done to her face. If you google her old pictures you will see her features look the same like before.

She had minor things done but nothing major so she overall still looks like her old self. She had eyes fixed as another poster showed me with photos. Of course she did not completely change like Viann Zhang but is not 100% natural.
@karina I think they went to Taiwan just so Nicky’s family could take care of Cecilia and there will be less of China’s paps around.
Cause if you think about it, you can’t avoid the investigations just from not being in the country. They’re going to have to return to China at some point. So being in Taiwan during this time won’t change any part of the investigation

Nicky had charming looks when young. Ladies were crazy about this guy in the past, I believe especially from Treasure Venture.
I don’t think there has been anyone who surpasses him in his legendary Liang Shabo role, many had tried the same role.
Disagree with some comments about LSS not natural. Since the beginning of her career, she started out with nice double eye lid, phoenix eyes and a proportional face. There’s nowhere you can identify the lift. There was no dramatic changes in the eyes,chin, jaw line, forehead, nose or mouth, etc. I got to argue she’s natural, you can tell it by looking at the skin especially during her younger days like CP3 and LOCH she didn’t look like she even put on make up at all and still looked great! Today you don’t see anybody like that, these women are killing themselves with ridiculous amount of makeup and filters.

I guess you missed our discussions back then about her eyes. She fixed her eyes. I am not referring to double and single eyelids stuff. Another member here showed me photos and they were different in the before and after photos. She did some minor things so still looks a lot like her old self. Even Yang Mi had some minor things done so still looks like her old self. Therefore, she can claim to be natural and people believe her. Fan Bing Bing had some stuff done too, but once again still looks a lot like her old self so can still claim to be 100% natural and people would still believe her. Now if Viann Zhang and Angelababy claimed to be natural no one would believe them since their changes are way too big and drastic.

Very very young then, that was from some of her very first projects like Lu Xiao Feng. Would be surprised if she did plastic from such a young age like that…but her skin tone isn’t affected a bit at all everything is so even out, that it’s unbelievable she lifted anything. I believe photos can be altered by haters, but motion pictures are more reliable you can try watching the movies instead.
Looks like everybody can just be labeled plastic now, rule number one: they should never claim themselves natural ever, and criticize other actresses being plastic. YM believably had things done but she doesn’t make ridiculous remarks about those things.
@hetieshou Viann I agreed is plastic but Angelababy fixed her teeth which affected her overall looks. If you look at her younger pictures, she was very pretty. The eyes & nose part except the mouth (which was fixed after she did her teeth). I knew someone who looked so diff b4 & after fixing orthodontics.
@karina Nicky was HOT in his younger days…in fact he still looks good at 48. Kevin Cheng was also hot during his younger days, but he didn’t wear his age well. Could he have done something because the skin looks taut?

I am wonder too does other have to go through what Cecilia does too since their husband are about the same age as Nicky? For an example Grace Chan and Moka Fong? Too bad it doesn’t say the baby name and is that their baby he’s holding?
@cutie777 not necessarily. Not every man or woman is the same. If the woman is extremely fertile, she can make up for the low sperm count (being quite young helps too). There are many factors, so just because they are the same age, doesn’t mean they have the same trouble
