One Year After Her Son’s Birth, Niki Chow is Ready to Work Again
Since giving birth last year, Niki Chow (周勵淇) has taken a step back from her career and focused on taking care of her son. After a long absence, she made her first public appearance yesterday and attended the premiere of Emperor Entertainment’s newest movie Raging Fire <怒火>, which stars Donnie Yen (甄子丹) and Nicholas Tse (謝霆鋒).
With her son already one year old, Niki is preparing for her return to work. “I will film a movie in October in Hong Kong, and then a drama in China.” Mentioning that her mother will take care of her son while Niki films in China, the actress said, “My sister’s children have grown up now, so my mother can just focus on one child. I do feel a bit guilty for leaving my son at home today. When I left home, I could hear him crying but there’s nothing I can do.”
While she has not officially returned to work yet, Niki would wake up every day at 5:30 a.m. to start her day with daily exercise. “It’s been a long time since I have filmed, so I need to work out to improve my fitness levels.” She also shared that she has not thought about having another baby yet, but will consider it at a later date.
