No Luck With Men, Tracy Chu Has Been Single for 6 Years

At a promotional event for TVB drama K9 Cop <警犬巴打>, Tracy Chu (朱千雪) spoke about how she spent her Valentine’s Day. As she is single and her family is based in Canada, she spent the day in the gym and preparing a meal for herself. She did not have a date on that day. Surprisingly, Tracy admitted that she has been single for the last six years.

On why she did not have a gathering with single female friends on Valentine’s Day, Tracy laughed and said, “I went through my entire address book and couldn’t find any female friend who are single. Maybe next year….”

Tracy was then asked if she has been single for a long time. The 27-year-old actress said, “I haven’t dated anyone since I was 21!” Was it because her expectations were overly high? Tracy expressed, “It’s all a matter of fate. I like men who are romantic and simple. I don’t need him to be wealthy. Of course, he must look pleasant. Also, there are a lot of women in school and I don’t have much luck in meeting men!”

As for meeting potential romantic interests through friends, Tracy demurred, explaining that she would not want to risk affecting her friendship. Would she accept being set up on blind dates? She said, “I guess if there’s a chance…but I’m also afraid it would be too awkward.”

Currently pursuing a Master of Corporate Communication and Social Sciences at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Tracy will graduate in six months. After she completes her program, Tracy will film two dramas for TVB this year.
