Noel Leung Having Extra-Marital Affair For 6 Months?
Former TVB actress, Noel Leung (梁小冰), has been married with ATV actor, Gary Chan (陳嘉輝), for 12 years, leading a peaceful marriage. Yesterday, rumors surfaced that Noel was intimately involved with former I-Cable host, Brian Wong <王志海>. Noel and Brian were photographed sharing an intimate exchange on the street! Apparently, the pair started their relationship in August 2011 and often exchanged flirtatious messages on their Weibo blogs. Regarding the allegations, Noel and Brian were reluctant to respond.
Forty-two-year-old Noel Leung met 50-year-old Gary Chan in 1992 while filming TVB series, Being Twins <兄兄我我>. The couple dated for 8 years before getting married and have a 5-year-old son together. A 1990 Miss Hong Kong second runner-up, Noel was known for her performances in Duke of Mount Deer <鹿鼎記> and Thief of Honor <血璽金刀>, Noel had a good career until slowly fading from the entertainment industry after getting married. Last year, Noel became more involved in theater projects instead. Noel possessed a virtuous image; both Noel and husband, Gary, were devout Christians. Due to lack of negative rumors over the last several years, the public was under the impression that the couple possessed a happy marriage.
Embroiled in an Extra-Marital Affair?
However, a report emerged yesterday that claimed Noel Leung was intimately involved with former I-Cable host and current Japanese restaurateur, Brian Wong. Aside from being caught meeting outside on several occasions, Noel reportedly helped Brian wipe his sweat. The pair was spotted entering a building one after the other, arousing speculation regarding the nature of their relationship. The tabloid report claimed that Gary Chan was extremely upset over the incident.
The reporter attempted to contact Noel over the recent extra-marital affair rumors, but her manager, Ruby, stated, “Thank you for your concern. Currently, I do not have anything to say.”
Brian Wong was vague regarding his relationship with Noel. Brian stated, “I have nothing to say. The innocent is innocent!” The reporter interviewed Brian’s employees at Japanese restaurant in Causeway Bay last night, upon which they claimed that the rumors were not credible.
Reportedly in a “jealous rage,” Gary Chan excitedly uploaded a photo of some food dishes on his blog yesterday. Apparently, his mood appeared to be unaffected by Noel’s negative rumors.
Immediately Deleting Message(s)
While Noel and Brian did not wish to further respond to the negative rumors, the reporter speculated that they knew each other very well. Since August 2010, the pair often exchanged teasing messages through Weibo. However, after he was photographed with Noel, Brian immediately erased [past] messages.
Despite never interacting in the exchange between Noel and Brian, Gary wrote in a blog post in October, “Remember, there is no option in choosing a man except to pick one that treats you well! Even if he has money…if he does not treat you well, it is no farting good!”
Noel’s past rumored costars, Patrick Tam (譚耀文), Sunny Chan (陳錦鴻) and Kwong Chor Fai (鄺佐輝), were greatly surprised by the recent allegations that Noel was involved in an extra-marital affair with Brian Wong.
Ada Choi Defends Noel Leung
Noel’s close friends, Ada Choi (蔡少芬) and May Kwong (鄺文珣), indicated that Noel and Gary had a good marriage. In addition, Noel’s theater partner, Denis Ng (吳彤), and former Mr. Hong Kong participant, Ronan Pak (白健恩), did not believe that Noel was having an extra-marital affair.
May Kwong stated, “Based on only one photo and one gesture, you cannot speculate on what had happened. My impression is that Noel loves her family, her son and husband. In addition, her husband strongly supports her.”
Ada Choi noted, “That is just what the tabloids are speculating. I do not believe it! Noel and Gary have a very good relationship. Since this is another couple’s family matter, it is inappropriate for me to say anything more. Anyhow, they are a loving and happy together!”
Denis Ng said, “I laughed after reading the report. We are very good friends; last week, Ronan, Noel, and I went to Brian’s Japanese restaurant to eat dinner.” As for Ronan, he was not in a position to comment, but stated that he found Noel to be very cute.

Jayne: Hope these are simply rumors! Maybe Noel or Gary might personally respond to these rumors and clarify the situation, as they are claiming that Noel has been cheating on her husband.
Perhaps the reporter looked through Gary’s blog to find his angriest “farting message” about picking the right man….

That is true to some extent but not always… Also, I have learned the through the years that IF the supposed “rumours” appear over and over again, then it has a higher chance of being true. I am so really shocked but hey, we don’t know Noel personally so who really knows?? Anything is possible and I do hope that it is not true…
Hello Jayne ,is her husband brother of ATV actor Amy Chan Sau Man,I remember her husband are only kelefe in TVB and I think maybe she think that husband are inferior when compare to Ekin Cheng ,Aaron Kwok ,Frankie Lam ,Julian Cheung in term of look and acting skill,maybe she marry him because his sister are popular actress in ATv and Tvb ,anyways I hope this just a rumour .

Gary Chan is not Amy Chan’s younger brother. I believe Noel and Gary fell in love since they were attending the same church. Perhaps finding someone with the same beliefs and values in life is more important than marrying for money and connections.

I think Noel Leung was more popular than her husband in the entertainment industry. She was always a 1st lead actress while her husband was only a 2nd or 3rd line actor. Though money and fame are not always the most important things, they can become an “issue” in a good marriage in the long run. Reality is cruel unfortunately.

I’m very surprised at this news because I’ve always known Noel and Gary to be devout Christians. Like the article said, Noel has a virtuous image. Of all people. What a shock.

I did not know that Gary used to act for ATV since I mostly saw him in supporting roles for TVB series. Noel even acted in a few China series and then I have not seen her for years now… I wonder what they have been doing all this time??
I think that just because she is a devout Christian doesn’t mean that she will always be 100% faithful to her husband. But who really knows except for her if she is truly cheating or not??
Wow. Married for 12 years and dated for 8 before getting married. She is now 42 so maybe Gary chan is her 1st official long term relationship. I hope these rumors aren’t true but I agree with others that news reporters won’t just make anything up without a little bit of truth to it. Maybe Gary and noelle lost the spark, and feel bored since they’ve been together so long. Noelle prob wants to feel sexy and “still has it” so she’s flirting with someone that’s giving her attention. I wrote it on a previous article- what is cheating? Flirting back an forth online? Does it always have to be physical to be considered cheating? If one partner “checked out” a long time ago emotionally and fallen out of love and in love with someone else, is that considered cheating? Hopefully noelle and Gary can weather this storm. It’s sad when there is a child involved. But it’s hard if indeed noelle has fallen out of love. Only time will tell.
At times reporters can OR they can misinterpret or misunderstand something.. For example, they once used one of Leo Ku’s photos where he was crying. That was when they were airing Princess Pearl 3 and they used his photo and said that he was crying due to the bad ratings that it has on TVB’s channel. But that was not the case. The photo of him crying was taken at the Princess Pearl 3 dinner with the other cast. They were all crying because they grew so close to each other while filming and knew that after the dinner that they would have to separate. Therefore, you can see that the media can put things out of proportion and misunderstand things.
BUt I do agree that yes, there are times that the media is telling the truth as we have seen with many cases. I think that the more “rumours” reoccur, the higher of a chance it has of being true(unless it was really really ridiculous to start with).Time will tell if any of this is true or not…

Noel Leung is my fav ex-TVB actress too…she is so pretty and she doesn’t seem to age. I like her when she acted those periodic dramas…I wish to see her onscreen again. And it is rather sad to know this rumours. I hope it is not the truth because to me, she is an angel.

Noel Leung does look young for her age (42), but she looks even younger in the the pictures posted above.
I watched her not too long ago on TVB’s Today’s VIP. She did not look that young, but still young for her age 42.
At her recent interview at TVB Today’s VIP, Noel Leung mentioned that she quit acting for a few years after she got her baby. She wanted to raise her child herself. She started working again in the last year or two, and she was actively involved in a play as a lead actress currently.
Noel is a nice person with a kind heart, never have any rumor before! I personally thinks if the rumor is true then there’s probably a reason behind it… A marriage of 12 years we don’t know what problem she have to deal with.
