Owen Cheung Denies Being Moses Chan’s Replacement

At a publicity event to create hype for currently airing crime drama Anonymous Signal <奪命提示>, lead cast Owen Cheung (張振朗), Tiffany Lau (劉穎鏇), Moon Lau (劉佩玥), Karl Ting (劉佩玥) and Rosita Kwok (郭柏妍) engaged in various tests to “show off” their impressive fitness, while teasing about the series’ various intimate scenes!

Owen Is Slapped 8 Times; Joel & Moon Share An Intense Bed Scene

In line with their onscreen personas as crime investigators, Tiffany did sit-ups in mid-air with her legs clasped against Owen’s chest in a showcase of her super-fit abs, while Karl did push-ups with Rosita sitting on him.

When accidentally humorous cuts of Owen and Tiffany’s intimate scenes on set were aired, Tiffany revealed that it was challenging to recall all the “steps” needed for the smooth execution of one of their intimate scenes; while she pulled no punches for another key scene of her character slapping Owen, so that it would turn out realistic. Owen laughingly added that he was slapped about eight times in all, and also teased another even more exciting bed scene between his two co-stars, Joel Chan (陳山聰) and Moon Lau (劉佩玥)!

Shortlisted as one of the contenders in the “Performance by an Actor” category at the 2025 edition of New York Festivals TV & Film Awards for No Room for Crime <反黑英雄>, Owen is already satisfied as it is first-time being nominated in the US and European region, and hopes his good fortune can rub off Anonymous Signal too!

Owen: No One Can Replace Moses

When asked about rumors that he is being heavily promoted by TVB to replace actor Moses Chan (陳豪), the 37-year-old simply said, “Moses is a super senior veteran and big senior to me, no one can replace him or take over from him, I will continue to do what I enjoy,”

As for swirling news that he appeared apprehensive of rumors with co-star, Taiwanese actress Peggy Ji (姬天語) on the set of new headline drama Imitation of Life <模仿人生>, Owen explained that they were filming a tailing scene that day and everything happened naturally. He added that he would not intentionally avoid female co-stars at work. Teased by Tiffany and Moon, Owen laughed and said that he was actually filming with two “men”! Asked about the delay of her anticipated drama The Queen of Castle <巨塔之后>, Moon said that she is also uncertain about when it will be aired but remains in anticipation nonetheless.

Rosita Wants to Do Her Own Stunts

Both Karl and Rosita have many action scenes – Karl who personally went for them admitted that it was much of a challenge, and hopes the audience enjoys them. Rosita, who says her physical fitness is not the best, thanks the producer and martial arts choreographer for making her look like a great fighter onscreen, and hopes that viewers will be able to notice her progress. Is she keen to work towards being an action star one day? Rosita says she would love to try if given the chance, and revealed that there was a scene where she had to “kick” Owen’s sensitive spots – to make it realistic, she spared no strength in kicking real hard, since Owen had already prepared himself by taking the necessary protective measures.
