Paparazzi Follow Ruco Chan and Wong You-nam to a Car Shop
When Ruco Chan (陳展鵬) threw hints at the reporters saying that he may have found a new girlfriend, the paparazzi went straight to work. But Ruco, who is busy with upcoming projects, barely gave the paparazzi any leads. While a netizen did claim he saw Ruco with an unidentified woman at Lei Yue Mun one day, the paparazzi failed to find any new developments.
One evening, the paparazzi followed Ruco to Mong Kok, where he met up with Blue Veins <殭> star Wong You-nam (黃又南). The two parked next to a car shop and were greeted by one of the shop’s attendants. The attendant opened the hood of Ruco’s customized black Toyota FJ Cruiser and began to teach Ruco about the the car’s engines and showed him a few spare parts.
Moments later, more attendants came out to take a look at Ruco’s car. Ruco and the attendants eventually got into a deep and interesting discussion. Wong You-nam, who was trying to fix his car’s lights, joined in the conversation as well. They chatted for more than two hours. In the end, Wong You-nam got a change of lights and Ruco added a new car mask.
Ruco is a known car enthusiast. He joined an auto racing team in Malaysia a few years ago and is an ambassador for a high performance motor oil brand. Last year, he was spotted in a car shop in Kowloon City with Sisley Choi (蔡思貝). He then drove Sisley back home with her blue Volkswagen Beetle. The paparazzi had a field day with this sighting, claiming that the two TVB stars were dating. However, the rumor was denied by both parties. Ruco explained that he was only helping Sisley out with her car.
Ruco flew to the United States on Thursday for a Valentine’s Day concert with his Brother’s Keeper <巨輪> costar, Linda Chung (鍾嘉欣). He will return to Hong Kong later this week to prepare for the filming of his new TVB drama, Hot Pursuit <乘勝追擊>.

my goodness the paps in HK are crazy and plain creepy. when a pap starts following a celeb, that publishing company is probably dying so the big boss probs assigned different employees to stalk these poor celebs. and i thought celebs’ lives here were annoying with all the paps, looks like HK is 10x worse…
@riceball120 the 狗仔队 in HK are creepy in the way they stalk celebs. there is practically no privacy. if ruco is indeed dating, i am happy for him.

@funnlim I noticed Ruco’s fashion sense has improved lately. I was wondering if this may be the influence of a new girlfriend.
In an earlier article, he said he hasn’t seen Linda in a long time and wasn’t certain about the status of her relationship with Philip Ng. They seem to be good friends and admire each other’s work ethics, but not sure if they have romantic sparks. After “Brother’s Keeper”, it was Ankie Beilke that caught Ruco’s interest. 🙂

@jayne true. I am going with the fan fave but his taste in women is all along those with nice figures and features. But then age may have changed his perception.
@funnlim well which man doesn’t want that? But not all men can have what their hearts really desire. Ruco is a sexy hot blooded male and he surely can have his pick of sexy desirable women. Linda can be sexy too but her preferred image is girl next door. Dont be fooled by her. However i dont think they are dating though i very much wish so.
@isay: Yes, Ruco is very sexy and can have his pick of hot woman or girl-next-door…whatever his heart fancies. Linda seems like a really nice girl and one that you would want to bring home to show your mum. They seem to have a liking for each other as well and make a great pair. Not sure what’s stopping them since both of them are currently single. I think Linda is probably too conscious of how fans/viewers see her as the girl-next-door to change to a sexy, sultry image. Her fans probably love her for her goody-2-shoe image. Even though her recent outfits at the awards shows is more swayed to sexy. Ruco is a nice guy with a great personality, hot bod and Linda seems like a nice, god-loving girl too. They really make a great pair looks-wise.

@funnlim Speculation continues that Linda and Philip may still be together. I was also shocked when they indirectly said they haven’t seen each other for a long time. It may have been a temporary split when Philip was filming the Bruce Lee movie. I think Linda may prefer someone more westernized than Ruco though.

There’s news that Linda is getting married in Vancouver end of Feb. Actually, the outfits she wore during the Vegas and San Jose concert didn’t look good on her at all. So there were speculations that she was pregnant. I didn’t think she looked pregnant, just unflattering.

I think Linda and Ruco admied each other’s work ethics. Linda had complimented Ruco that he is a very serious actor and she enjoyed talking about acting techniques with him. They helped each other as colleagues and Ruco took care of her as a gentleman. But I don’t think there were romantic sparks. Because Linda was still involved with Philip and Ruco was attracted to Ankie at the time. #LindaChung #RucoChan
@Jayne: I think after BK, it was Ankie who was showing a lot of interest in Ruco. Ankie was very candid and openly praised about Ruco to the media. She was showing very strong interest but Ruco’s interest seemed to fizzle out really quickly….

I remember those interviews where she was gushing and drooling when talking about him and when reporters asked if she was keen to develop further with him she unabashedly did not discount the possibility. I think she frightened him off by coming on too strong. Think he’s a guy who prefers to do the chasing.
@isay: Yes, Ankie came on really strong and that probably frightened Ruco away. Plus his career was also really taking off at that time. So he probably prioritizes work over relationship. I also think Ruco and Ankie make a great pair too. No doubt Ankie is westernized but perhaps she could make a good wife/gf too. Another person I think makes a great pairing with Ruco is Chrissie Chau 周秀娜. I find her pretty, has a good head on her shoulder and very sexy. Too bad, they have no collaboration and no chance to know each other.

She’s too coquettish and too easy with men, saw pics of her flirting with some white men in Lan Kwai Fong shortly afer Ruco crushed her hopes. When he was shown those pics he wryly commented that he hadn’t seen her in a long time and wished her well. No loss to him haha. He needs a nice girl like linda.

@kidd: Yeah…I would love Ruco to date Chrissie. They would look good together. Did she start out as a lengmo? She has done very well for herself then if she had started out as a lengmo. Her initial image as an artist was very sultry and always posing in very compromising positions in skimpy outfits. But she has now transformed into someone more level headed and classy but still sexy. I believe she has her own line of lingerie too.
As Ruco’s fan, I want him to find true happiness. But also sad at the same time coz I’m obsessed with him ! LOL

@janet72: I hope there’s no change in schedule for airing ICAC 2016. This was updated by 1 of his co-stars on Weibo. Only 5 episodes though…but better than nothing. He has no completed dramas left except for ICAC and A Hero Within Four Walls. Only know he’ll be filming a new drama in March. Missing Ruco on TV. Been rewatching COD (only Ruco’s parts) and ROE.

I wonder how Ruco and Yau Nam became friends. They have not film any series together.
