Phoebe Sin Says Ruco Chan and Nancy Wu Make a Cute Couple in “The Unholy Alliance”

Produced by the team behind A Fist Within Four Walls <城寨英雄>, the highly anticipated The Unholy Alliance <同盟> will be premiering August 7, 2017. It stars last year’s TV King and Queen Ruco Chan (陳展鵬) and Nancy Wu (胡定欣), teaming up with Nina Paw (鮑起靜), Joel Chan (陳山聰), Elaine Yiu (姚子羚), Jimmy Au (歐瑞偉), KK Cheung (張國強), and Kwok Fung (郭鋒) for an action-packed adventure.

The show centers on the family of Ling Hung (Nina Paw), the powerful overlord of several international syndicates around the continent. Her influence in the field alone is enough to impact the economy of its businesses. To protect her only birth son Ko Tsz-kit (Ruco Chan) from her enemies, she leaves him to the care of a foster mother in Taiwan. At the start of the story, Ling Hung sends her bodyguard Yuen Tsing-yan (Nancy Wu) to protect him from assassins.

Like its predecessor, The Unholy Alliance is an action-packed, martial arts piece. Ruco and Nancy’s relationship on the show is often presented through their bickering and friendly rivalry. As seen on its most recent trailer, the TV couple share many intimate scenes on camera, which Ruco liked to describe as “intense”.

But this intensity hasn’t affected Ruco’s rumored girlfriend Phoebe Sin (單文柔), who said she’s looking forward to watching the show to its end. The former Miss Hong Kong star said she finds Ruco and Nancy to be a cute couple, and wouldn’t be jealous of their intimate scenes together.

“Why would I be jealous?” she said. “I actually think they look really good together. I really admire Nancy myself. They’re both professional actors.”
