Confirming her pregnancy on November 17, Priscilla Wong (黃翠如) also opens up about the pain of a previous miscarriage.

Tearful Priscilla; Stunned Edwin Responds to Pregnancy Test

Sharing the good news with a video on Instagram, she wrote “Every home has its own story. Putting together the happy and the sad, is perhaps what completes the home. Our story began with the two of us forming a family. This family once anticipated a new life, but at a tough period, we experienced a loss, and used some time to regain our balance, working hard to become each other’s happy battery,”

Sharing an ultrasound scan, a tearful Pris opened up about her miscarriage experience prior. “God has gifted us another rainbow-like gift, I welcome each day with a grateful yet trepidatory heart, full of love and hope, day and night. We’re very grateful for all your well-wishes along the way, and really needed them, thank you. Sharing our little story, at the same time we’d like to lend a little encouragement to parents who have experienced loss, we understand the unspeakable pain, but also hope you can believe that life can get better. Life doesn’t need a fairy-tale, but may we find hope in daily living. May blessings descend upon every home.”

Back in August 2021, Priscilla had absented herself from promotional activities for her drama Battle of the Seven Sisters <七公主>. Later, she posted a photo of herself holding a clover leaf and wrote “Goodbye” while simultaneously turning off the comments function. When worried netizens speculated if she had withdrawn due to stress, she responded that it was a private grieving.

After a 2-month rest, the actress accompanied husband Edwin to Shanghai for work, and shared, “After a big roundabout, I’ve found my batteries,” while sharing a photo of herself smiling happily next to Edwin. The same clover leaf appeared in her recent pregnancy video, believed to symbolize the little one she lost.

  1. Congratulations! I’m so happy for her! Can’t imagine experiencing a loss like that. Reporters and others really should not ask whether someone is pregnant. They will share when they’re ready.
