Rain Li Denies Marriage Rumors with Marcus Wong

Rain Li Choi Wah, Chapman To Man Chak, and Janice Man appeared at the film premiere of “Planet 51.” Rain attended at the event with soon-to-be god-sister, Chu Shuet Ying (Lam Siu Ming’s ex-wife).

Rain confirmed that she will be ending her contract with Media Asia Films. She will pay a seven figure sum to end her contract two years earlier. Did Rain’s boyfriend, Marcus Wong (Director at charity organization, Yan Oi Tong) help her pay the seven figure early termination fee? Rain said that she will be paying the fees herself.

Rain also denied marriage intentions as a reason to terminate her Media Asia contract early. Rain smiled and said that Marcus fully supported her career. Rain teased that after Marcus read the tabloids, perhaps he will give her an eight-figure bonus to make her happy.

After leaving Media Asia, Rain will sign a two year contract with Golden Scene’s Tsang Lai Fun. Rain denied that her reason for ending Media Asia’s contract was the result of the company’s staff resources focused on Elanne Kong Yeuk Lam. Rain insisted that she already had her own car, make-up artist, and hairstylist, thus she did not need Media Asia’s resources in this manner.

Since Rain has not appeared in a film over the last two years under Media Asia’s management, she decided to end the contract early. She often had nightmares about the contract resolution. Rain thanked Media Asia for taking care of her over the last several years and will be leaving on a good note.
