Raymond Lam’s Album Sold 15,000 Copies

Raymond Lam Fung’s last album, “Let’s Get Wet,” has sold more than 15,000 copies since it’s release in June. Raymond’s music company, EEG, spent five figures and arranged for a six table banquet celebration party. EEG executive, Wu Yu and TVB executive, Virginia Lok Yi Ling attended the celebration. The Hong Kong Chamber of Music Commerce’s Jiang Guoping presented Raymond with a gold record commemorating the sales results. Excited by the results, Raymond gave a toast onstage and thanked everyone.

Raymond will be personally treating the EEG crew who worked on his album later on. He was very pleasantly surprised when he learned of his album’s sales results. “The album sales were likely boosted by my concert at the Hong Kong Coliseum. This indicates that the audience accepted my performance. I thank everyone for their support.” In July, the DVD version of his concert will be released.

Did Raymond have confidence in winning the 2009 male singer award? Raymond did not think about the matter. He hopes to release his Mandarin album before the end of 2009 and expand into the Taiwanese and the mainland markets.

Raymond Intends to Buy New Car as a Reward

Will Raymond hold a concert in his hometown of Xiamen? Raymond will release his Mandarin album first and may tour in China afterwards. What will Raymond buy for himself as a reward for his achievements? “I would like to purchase a new Maserati; I have been driving my current car for over a decade.”

Reporters pointed out that Raymond appears to have numerous rumored girlfriends. Raymond laughed and said “It’s really zero.” After Raymond buys his Maserati, will he drive rumored girlfriend, Linda Chung Ka Yan as his first passenger? “I have not pursued her. [Our names are linked together] due to the great response to ‘Moonlight Resonance.’ I admit that we appear to be physically compatible.”

Earlier, there were plans for Raymond to pair with Kay Tse On Kei in 《戀愛達人》. However due to Raymond’s busy schedule, the partnership has not been confirmed yet. Was Raymond disappointed? If the schedule can not be accommodated, Raymond said the matter was beyond his control.

Jayne: Congratulations to Raymond! His Mandarin album should have a great reception in Taiwan and China as well. Raymond’s postponed entry into the music industry seems to be a wise move. He practiced his singing skills for many years before taking a serious plunge into the music industry, with great results thus far.
