Raymond Lam and Karena Ng Cherish Their Time Together
Raymond Lam (林峯) and Karena Ng (吳千語) went on several romantic trips across Europe and Asia together since publicly revealing their relationship in February 2013. With Raymond filming for Lu Xiaofeng and Hua Manlou <陸小鳳與花滿樓> in Hengdian, the couple has been separated for half a month, communicating only through the phone and via text messages.
The day before yesterday, Raymond returned to Hong Kong to attend a Buddhist music function. He stayed overnight in Hong Kong before heading back to mainland China the next day. As expected, Karena took this rare opportunity to spend as much time as possible with her boyfriend. While Raymond rehearsed for his performance, Karena remained by his side. She was seen handing Raymond water and tissue, taking care of him the entire time.
Although not a diligent follower of Buddhism, Raymond said that there is a Buddha in his heart. Speaking of the H7N9 bird flu virus spreading through China, Raymond expressed that he tries to avoid eating pork or poultry. “I return to my hotel room when I don’t need to film, instead of staying out.” In addition, he told Karena not to visit him in mainland due to safety concerns.
Since Raymond will be returning to work shortly, did Karena prepare anything? “I prepared some food for him to bring along so that he can cook for himself instead of eating out. I told him to be careful of what to eat, and to avoid eating organs,” she said.
Rumors circulated that the couple will be married sometime this year. In regards to this, Karena said that she is still young and it is a faraway event. Is Raymond the one to marry? Karena said, “He is very good, and he has a lot of love for children!”

My guess would be very likely. She is not overly popular as of yet and even thou he’s older, he is probably a great longtime meal ticket candidate at this point. Let’s face it, he is not that old or ugly compares to some who marries into a rich family…ahaha..lol..
agree….how long her has to work to make the money that she can have if she marry Raymond?! Being an success actor is not easy…so if she can find a longtime meal ticket…she should hold on tight…Raymond is handsome, rich and charm anyway…
But you never know when the meal ticket will abandon you or not. She should try to work and make her own money instead of hoping to eat from Ray’s plate. You never know when things can go wrong.

I mean if she pops out a couple of kids, she is probably still set for life? That Isabella Leong popped out 3 kids out of wedlock, last we heard she does NOT need to work EVER. haha…sigh… a disgrace for some but for celebs hoping to marries into a rich family, it’s probably a dream came true? haha LOL

Oh yea, that is really true. You are right that it is disgraceful for some since they would be viewed as a gold digger. Even if I were set for life, it would be embarassing for me and my family would disown me. It is no wonder some look down on women thinking that they need to rely on men in order to live a fulfilling life.

I know, can you imagine Isabella Leong’s case? barely @ your 20’s and you already popped out 3 kids out of wedlock to someone that looks like your dad’s age and ugly too. If this happens to a regular woman who should still be in college and studying hard and already gold digging like that? What a disgrace but I bet it never occur to her that it is quite shameful haha..I know, it’s the 21st century and having kids out of wedlock is no big thing now but still if you have good parents and you yourself who understands the meaning of working hard and provide yourself, you will never do such a thing. So I think it is safe to say that she is a golddigger and many wants to be like her in the showbiz world and the celeb parents probably don’t care either about whta’s right or wrong as long as they have money. Such a disgrace if that happens to your daughter but to them it’s probably a dream came true which they never have to lift a finger and work hard ever again. SIGH….

Yea, it is disgraceful,especially for those that still are traditional or live in the olden days. My family is like that and would kill me if I did anything like that. It is so sad that our current world is really materialistic now that many would even sell their soul just to have money and not have to work again. The economy is so bad now that our world is all about money and anything monetarily related. Sad world we live in indeed.
Are you thinking that the housewives dont have a life? Overall, the choice of job is up to each person. You think they go for money, they will say “no” to you. Not all housewives are failed women or gold diggers. Not all women who are working want to work.
I did NOT say that, but in this time and age, it is rare to be able to be a housewife unless you are well off or rich. How many can live on one income these days? Not many….
My answer to you: Many can live just with 1 income :D. Just up to how you describer “live”. Living a luxurious life with expensive houses, maid, organic food, a lot of money blah blah – live. Living a normal life in a flat, doing everything together, normal food, some savings – live. Living a deadly poor life, homeless, not enough food, no saving – live. In any case, one still can work or both work. It’s up to the standard of life the couple wants.
I’ve said, not all the employees like to go to work everyday and not all the housewives are useless or low educated. Take an example, I know a woman done the master degree in Aus, been invited to work for a grand law firm there but she refused all, came back to her hometown with her husband, became a housewife to take care for her two kids and husband. I asked if she regretted for the invitation of the law firm or not, she said that she is very happy and she loves the full-time housewife job, doesn’t like to work in any office. She isn’t rich at all, but full of smile and happiness. So do you think if she chose to work in the law firm, being a famous lawyer (for example), would she been that happy?

I don’t think anyone is degrading all housewives as gold diggers and uneducated. I want to point out a majority of female celebs who are in the industry do look out for old rich men to marry themselves off to so they don’t have to work as hard. I take Isabella Leong as an perfect example for a woman barely out of her 20’s marrying a old man for what really LOVE? I guess we will never know since we are not her but still you can’t deny that $$$$$ in a big factor. Of course, it’s not only her, there are quite more females who are like her who tends to take the easy way out when they see marrying into the rich opportunity. I do believe there are people who like to work vs those who don’t. Everyone is different on that sense, some might like the work force better than others and it has nothing to do w/their education level.
meal ticket? that isnt the reasion to be married to ANYONE. i cannot imagine that Lam Fung would be shallow and just choose someone to pretend to love.
and i dont know of her but it would be too much to ever think of her as thinking of him as a meal ticket. maybe they really do love each other,anyone ever though of that?.
and also, i must say, that it is the shallow words and behavor being thrown at LF and other celebrities that is making them feel sad and lifeless. for a while the pictures i saw of LF seemed like ones of an unhappy person , and that isnt right.

Rationally I think there are 2 aspects to consider. She may be too young. not mature. But chances are low on this one.
And it’s difficult build and maintain marriage. Assuming LF will be 75. She has to spend the future 50 years with him…
But again if there is love, don’t think too much and jump. See how far you get. If you don’t try you’ll never know.
It isn’t just love since in many cases, it takes much much more than just love in order to have a lasting and happy marriage and/or relationship.
I predict that this relationship will turn out like Leon Lais’. Ray and Karena will marry soon, but Karena will want to devorce shortly after due to how young she is and still wants to enjoy her youth and also due to Rays parents’ requirements.
I think they’ll get married if Raymond wants to. Movie actresses are cast on abilities usually and not so much fan following. Marriage isn’t really gonna hurt her.
Not really, marriage that you are not ready for or are pressured into can really hurt in the long run and not last as well…
When you know you are ready for a marriage? If you take age as a factor, then you can see that many got married when they are 30++ still divorced after a short time. On the other hand, many got married when they are 18-20 and not divorced.

I think he is of marriagable age. As for her, well as long as she is ready, she is ready. However my feeling is they’re at honeymoon stage of their budding relationship and I suspect Ray is not in any rush to be married as long as he enjoys the perks of singledom. There is a reason why he chose the girls so young; because of an expectation perhaps they’re not ready to settle down or maybe their “innocence”. Whatever rocks his boat. Problem is for girls, they’re always ready for marriage to their prince in shining armour. Question is is he ready? My answer is no.

I am def one of those who married young and am blessed that my marriage had no drawbacks despite the decision was made when I was only 21 and now i am part of a family of four. Well I still consider myself young!
I honestly dont think age matters besides having outsiders raising their brows or shaking their heads. Thats their own problems. I think what matters is how mature their cognitive abilities are …I mean you can be 50 and have a mind set of a five year old. Im clearly over exaggerating but you get what I mean.
Asking if he is ready or not, my analysis tell me that yes and no at the same time. He loves kids, loves to start a family of his own. But at the same time, he is having works to do and he lets things go naturally.
I did not mention age and of course I know that age should not always matter as long as you aren’t sooo young that it would cause people to raise their brows.Everything and everyone varies just like how some can date for 10+ years and end up breaking up while some can get married in 20 days of just knowing each other.
I have the same thoughts as Funn though. They seem to be still in a honeymoon stage and he may like her for a girlfriend, but as a wife, not sure yet… Dating someone and liking someone as a girlfriend does not always necessarily equate to wanting to marry them and wanting them to be your wife. Time will tell all…

The problem with all these celebrity relationships is no one actually knows when they started to talk and understand each other. People tend to only count the time theyve been together, but what happens to the duration before the relationship went public?
Karena is young. Raymond is at marriageable age. Double yes. But neither even spoke about marriage aside from responding to rumors. And the title clearly states theyre cherishing the time theyre together now. Whats wrong with that?

hhaha I know right, he definitely looks like uncle raymond in the above pic. haha lol…but then again, I think RL have aged quite a bit even thou he is still young and after his plastic surgery he seems uglier for some reason. I remember his first series, he was really cute back then.
PS that wears out does not look pleasant at all and cannot match natural aging.

He has never been photogenic from his start. Rarely he looks handsome on pix. But he definitely looks so much better in person. Plus his nice attitude to other ppl with a bright smile most time to help him.
Other person with same situation is Kate. She looks really good with her sunshine smile.
That’s what I heard too. I never felt that Raymond is very photogenic but looks better on screen and most likely in person(have not met him but my buddy said and she said so too). That is how it is with a number of people.

chok is a way of posing, not looking cool nor handsome. And he looks really good in person. So ppl see him in person, judge his look in person, not though the pix. Dont know why there are some ppl who keep calling his pix Chok as his pix dun use Chok pose much. Maybe they also dun noe wat is Chok, just use because they want to bash.
What a loving couple and so sweet of them taking care of each other….surprisingly Karena such a tender age having a 30 years old thinking very matching for Raymond.

After all, RL is rich but there are richer men out there than him. And she is still young. If she is smart, she might just takes her time to select. Besides I find those actions of passing him water and tissue were common gestures, but HK tabloids like to make a huge deal about it. Anyway, just my views.

There are news of him without her and vice versa, but you (you in general, not particularly anyone) choose to read news about them and then complain why news are about them. So you read wat you want, and that’s it.
Wish them all the best! Age gap isn’t a problem really, even couples with small age gaps/ similar ages also end up divorcing or breaking up.
But it seems like every thing Ray and Karena does, ends up on headlines.
