Raymond Lam Denies Rumors With Deceased Actress

Earlier in April, mainland actress, Tam Ching, unexpectedly died. She fell half-nude from a building in Guangzhou. A recent tabloid magazine report claimed that she and Raymond Lam Fung shared a romantic relationship in 2003. As a result, Tam Ching allegedly split with her boyfriend at the time.

In response to the rumors, Raymond said, “We only met a few times before. I would not say that I knew her well.”

“My friend’s friend knew Tam Ching’s boyfriend. I only met her on several occasions. The last time must have been 4 years ago. Even if I were to meet her now, I may not recognize her!”

However, in a tabloid interview Tam Ching’s ex-boyfriend claimed that Raymond and Tam met in a Shanghai disco in 2003. After going to Hong Kong to focus her career there, Tam allegedly started dating Raymond. She told her ex-boyfriend that Raymond was a very good friend. On her blog, she often wrote that Raymond was a very nice person. Shortly afterwards, she broke up with her ex-boyfriend.

Tam’s death mysteriously occurred in April and shortly afterwards, rumors surfaced that she had dated Raymond previously. Raymond denied the rumors and expressed his disappointment in the media for publicizing this false report. This incident only strengthened Raymond’s intention to retire from the entertainment industry.

“Since Tam Ching has passed away, I have no one to prove my innocence. This incident makes me long to wander the world [and retire from the industry].” Since Tam passed away, Raymond requested to honor the deceased and did not wish to speak further on the subject.

Does Raymond intend to take a vacation? “I have been filming ‘Heart of Greed 2’ day and night. Afterwards, I have to record my music album. Thus I will not have time to take days off for vacation!”

Jayne: Sounds like Tam Ching’s death was quite mysterious. I wonder if it was murder?? No doubt, the media wished to sensationalize the death further and thus chose to link her romantically with Raymond Lam.
