Raymond Lam Injures Ankle on Film Set

Currently filming in Shanghai for his new Mainland series The Door <六扇門>, Raymond Lam (林峯) accidentally injured his ankle on set after stepping on a stone during an outdoor fight scene.

Playing a constable with numerous fight scenes, Raymond’s foot landed unsteadily on a rock, causing his ankle to twist painfully. At first, Raymond dismissed the injury as a regular sprained ankle and only treated his foot on the production set.

However, after an overnight rest at the hotel, Raymond’s foot began throbbing in uncontrollable pain. Not wanting to delay production, the actor still limped his way to the film set anyway. After work, Raymond was immediately sent to the hospital where the doctor informed him that left ankle was severely fractured and will require six weeks before completely healing.

Upon hearing about her boyfriend’s injury, Karena Ng (吳千語), who was also working in Mainland China during this time, immediately made her way to Raymond’s hotel to take care of him. As well, dozens of Raymond’s fans were allowed into the set to visit Raymond after his injury, giving him drinks to cool down and extending their well wishes for his recovery.
