Ron Ng Buys First House for $9 Million
Top TVB siu sang Ron Ng (吳卓羲) has finally caught up with his peers and is now an official homeowner! The 33-year-old Hong Kong actor was known for his extravagant spending and his love for luxury cars, but Ron seems to have learned his lessons on saving and responsibility after two scandal-prone years while dating mainland actress Viann Zhang (張馨予).
According to Apple Daily, the Triumph in the Skies 2 <衝上雲宵II> star recently purchased a $9 million HKD flat in Bellagio, a private housing estate that is located outside the Castle Peak Road in Sham Tseng, Tsuen Wan. The 1,200-feet apartment is located in the fifth tower.
Ron, currently shooting his new mainland Chinese drama in Shanghai, could barely contain his excitement as he was being interviewed over the phone. “It’s true, but I really cannot talk too much about it!”
The actor admitted that this is his first time owning a home. On why he chose to purchase an estate far from the city, he said, “The scenery is gorgeous, and the environment is comforting. I have not repossessed the flat yet. I am still thinking about whether I should move in or invest in it.”
Ron insisted to purchase the flat despite high market prices, saying, “I’ll consider it as an investment. I really don’t know what I’m doing, but I will be paying off the mortgage. I did not pay it all at once.”
Is Ron keeping the flat for his future wife? He laughed, “[The flat’s] too small! I have higher expectations. I will work hard to earn the money to buy an even bigger home.”

About damn time. Sometimes I kinda feel bad for this guy. There’s like 10 different articles on how Bosco is doing his business thing and owning 3 properties. No comparison can be made with Raymond or Kevin. Kenneth is the new best deal title successor from Moses.

It’s not a bad thing to be more involved with the mainland market. Their market is bigger, they offer better pay and supposedly they don’t work you as hard as they do at TVB.

stupid tvb kicked him to mainland after triumph 2 so that they can promote moses and wayne, but ron is smart, he uses the opportunity to make money from many mainland dramas! ron makes more mainland dramas than bosco and equal or more mainland dramas than raymond! that’s great achievement!
I don’t think you need to worry too much about poor Ron getting ‘kicked over to the mainland’. He just purchased a 9 MILLION HKD flat. Many TVB actors like Charmaine Sheh and Kevin Cheng are purposely ditching HK going to the mainland because they get paid a lot more.
Ron is the most handsome actors of TVB. I am very fond of him.

so happy for ron! glad that he shows that he’s smart by choosing to invest in a house. he made a good decision to focus on mainland where he can make big money instead of staying in tvb where after triumph 2, tvb don’t cast him anymore and luckily ron is smart to take mainland dramas to fill his time and make huge money!

Great for him! Ron was prob the first TVB actor I admired, I feel bad out if all the other male leads he gets the most negative press. He seems like a really outgoing guy and at most a decent actor. I don’t think he’s scheduled to take part to film any upcoming TVB dramas correct? I know he has 2 which are releasing this year hopefully he’ll get the recognition at the awards show

no mrt, far off from the hubbub so I guess the air is better … how is this an investment property? and they had so much space, why was this reclaimed land?
This may or may not relate to Ron’s apartment site, but I remember catching this 60 Minute piece on China’s housing bubble causing proliferation of ghost towns because of absentee owners who buy condos not to live in but as investments, however, they have difficulty finding tenants or buyers cos’ the units are too expensive for regular folks to own or rent.
