Rosina Lam’s New Costume Drama with Chen Xiao

Balancing multiple projects in recent years, TV Queen Rosina Lam (林夏薇) has just wrapped up filming for TVB drama Darkside of the Moon <黑色月光> and announced her jewellery line fashion venture,  when she was off to mainland China, to complete filming for upcoming costume drama Legend of the Magnate <大生意人>!

A Dream Come True for Rosina

Interestingly, it is Rosina and lead actor Chen Xiao‘s (陳曉) first collaboration 15 years after the two graduated from the Central Academy of Drama. The drama’s production crew recently released wrap-up photos and stills, while Rosina also shared her filming sentiments and Empress Dowager Cixi look on social media, winning over netizens with her fierce aura befitting of the historical role.

Exclaiming that filming Legend of the Magnate has been meaningful, the 37-year-old said that besides being her first work “reunion” in fifteen years with good friend and fellow alumnus Chen Xiao, her role was also a thrilling one as it offers lots of room for dramatic manoeuver.

“I feel as though I have my dream come true, rehearsing the scenes felt a lot like a return to university and handing in my homework. I also made many new friends on top of meeting up with old ones,”

As same-batch graduates from the Central Academy of Drama, Rosina and Chen Xiao’s friendship bond has remained strong over the years, and the two friends would mutually support each other’s new drama launches, even if geographically apart.

Rosina also thanked director Ting Zhang (張挺), and the rest of the crew members for their kind care on set during the past month, and fervently anticipates the next collaboration.
