Ruby Lin Returns to School for Her Master’s Degree

43-year-old Ruby Lin (林心如) is going back to school!

The Taiwanese actress, who has been on hiatus since giving birth to her daughter back in January 2017, loves motherhood and being with her family. Now that her daughter is older, the My Dear Boy <我的男孩> actress has finally decided that it is time to pursue her original dream—to go back to school for a Master’s degree.

Yesterday, she revealed on social media that she was accepted into the master’s program for marketing management in Shih Hsin University. She shared her student ID and the school’s welcoming packet. She wrote, “The highly anticipated student ID. I can no longer use being busy as an excuse to prolong self improvement. I am going back to my interest of being a student, to allow myself to search for a new state of mind from zero. Starting new learning all over again. The busier I get the happier I am. Now I can get student discounts when I go to the movies. I get to experience my brain being overwhelmed by new information in class. Mom is learning for herself and for her daughter. Hope for a smooth graduation!”

Ruby married her longtime best friend, fellow actor Wallace Huo (霍建華), in 2016. Their daughter, nicknamed Little Dolphin, was born on January 6, 2017.
