Ruco Chan May Have Kids Before Marriage
Turning 37-years-old on January 17, fans of Ruco Chan (陳展鵬) held an early birthday party for the actor in Wan Chai on January 12. Over a hundred fans attended the cozy birthday party, including fans from mainland China and Malaysia.
Fans prepared a two-layer birthday cake, which was frosted with designs of musical notes and a miniature cartoon figure of Ruco singing. A young fan also presented Ruco a golden microphone, signifying the fans’ wishes for Ruco to have more music opportunities in the future. Ruco immediately pecked the little fan on her forehead.
At the party, Ruco announced the he and the cast of Brother’s Keeper <巨輪> will be holding a concert in Malaysia on March 1, 2014.
In an interview at the party, Ruco said he will be shooting The Apothecary <大藥坊> on the day of his birthday, but he plans to have a party with his friends after his work is finished. Asked about his birthday wish, Ruco said, “World peace! I know it’s a little cheesy. I also wished good health for my family and friends!”
Though currently single, Ruco expressed his hopes to get married in the future. “Once you’re healthy you’ll naturally start thinking about settling down. When I meet the right one I’ll get married!” Ruco added playfully that he is already a master at proposing and dating, reasoning that he has had done it enough times while shooting dramas.
The Brother’s Keeper actor pointed out that his family is not putting pressure on him to get married, and neither is he in the rush to get married as well. “For them, health comes first. Nowadays, it’s not odd to see some people have kids when they’re like 50 or 60. If [my parents] want me to get married, it’s more because they want me to carry on the family name.”
Ruco did not rule out the possibility of him having kids before marriage, explaining, “That could happen. Impromptu pregnancies happen. It’s not like how it was during the times with our parents. [Life] is more exciting now! The times have changed. Life can be flourishing and enriching. It’s good to live splendidly.”
With media reports claiming that Ruco and Kenneth Ma (馬國明) are Hong Kong’s next diamond bachelors after Moses Chan (陳豪), Ruco exploded with laughter, “I’m a ‘quality stock’ at most. Sometimes I’m a hit, sometimes I’m not. I can drop at any time!”

I want him to fire his stylist………..He even once said he doesn’t know much about style but MY GOSH his stylist has just as bad taste.
His current hairstyle is what he is in “The Apothecary”, he has no choice..

Don’t think Ruco has a stylist…he is probably offered certain clothes from sponsors to choose from at large-scale events. For promos, he is likely wearing fashions of his own choice.

Totally agree about title. Jayne Star shld learn a thing or two abt giving appropriate titles to articles…so misleading. May affect the artist’s image for ppl who do not read the content.

P/s he gives me an impression career is number 1 so I doubt he will do anything that can be interpreted as image suicide. But he did say pregnancy before marriage so if he follows up with a wedding, image redeemed. He doesn’t strike me as such a careless person though. He seems pretty much in control of himself.
