Ruco Chan Performs at the Miss Chinese Pageant
Ruco Chan (陳展鵬) is currently busy filming for new drama The Queen of Castle <巨塔之后> in Foshan, but took the time to fly to the United States as a guest performer for the 21st Miss Chinese Pageant in New York. Ruco performed a few songs and presented the awards.
The winner of the pageant was contestant number 10 Ophelia He (何楚寧) from Yale University. The first runner-up was contestant number 8 Zoe Pan (潘家蕊) and second runner-up was number 6 Jessica Zhang (張丁元).
Always taking the opportunity for work vacations, Ruco brought his wife Phoebe Sin (單文柔) along so they could enjoy some time together. Before arriving in New York, Ruco also appeared at an event in Los Angeles.
Ruco noted many of these events were actually confirmed before the pandemic, but they were postponed due to filming back-to-back dramas. Although he still has filming commitments, he could no longer delay the obligations. “Los Angeles was fun. I haven’t been there before, but many of my friends live there. Since the company gave me a lot of opportunities to sing drama theme songs in recent years, I performed the theme song to Sinister Beings 2 <逆天奇案 2> at many events and shows. I also sang it in Los Angeles because the event organizer specifically requested it. I also sang the theme song to Brother’s Keeper <巨輪> and some other classic songs I haven’t sang before.”
Recently, Ruco appeared at Bob Lam’s (林盛斌) talk show in China to show his support. The event organizer suggested he think about holding a concert tour around China. “I’ve never tried holding a concert in China but I want to try. I have to figure out my schedule first.”
