Rumors Link Li Yifeng With Prostitution Scandal
Rumors are swirling that Chinese actor Li Yifeng (李易峰) was arrested for soliciting prostitution, as he was mysteriously absent from a work event. With pianist Li Yundi‘s (李雲迪) arrest last year over the same charges, many fans are concerned over Yifeng’s status.
On September 2, Yifeng did not show up for a scheduled brand event. Hoping to catch a glimpse of the actor, numerous fans were waiting outside the venue and became worried as it is very rare for an artiste to miss an event without cause. During his absence, rumors of Yifeng’s arrest started circulating. Some netizens claimed that the actor was arrested after being involved with prostitutes.
As these claims spread, Yifeng appeared in a live stream to clarify everything. Pulling down his mask in his car, he said, “Because of certain requirements during the pandemic, we’re not allowed to attend in-person events. I’m currently in Beijing and I’m very sorry – especially since I know some fans were waiting for a long time.” He also asked fans not to send him virtual gifts, but did not clarify the prostitution rumors.
Despite this, most fans were relieved to hear from the actor even if the live stream itself was fairly short. Many also believe that the chances of a prostitution scandal are extremely low, as Li Yifeng was formerly linked with Zhao Liying (趙麗穎), Li Qian (李沁), Tiffany Tang (唐嫣), Li Fei’er (李菲兒), and Xu Li (余儷). It was also said that he was the third party in Yang Mi (楊冪) and Hawick Lau’s (劉愷威) marriage as well. With his alleged dating history, many people have a hard time believing that Yifeng would turn to soliciting sex services.
Although the actor is 35 years old, his popularity is still comparable to younger stars such as Wang Yibo (王一博) and Xiao Zhan (肖戰). Riding on the success of his breakthrough role in Sword of Legends <古劍奇譚>, Yifeng continuously received opportunities in Noble Aspirations <青雲志>, Sparrow <麻雀>, Mr. Six <老炮兒>, and Day Breaker <暗夜行者>.

It always puzzles me to way fans thinks their idols turn to prostitution is impossible…Since their idol is good looking enough to date anyone… lol.
The reasons to soliciting prostitutes are many.. and not everyone turn to them because they are not able to find a partner…
Did Li Yifeng solicit any, I dont know but I do know, if he really did and was caught by authorities…his career will be at huge risk… No point speculating now, best to wait and see. Meanwhile, his fans can support his new dramas…
Was about to comment that – wealth, looks, attached/ married or not really does not have direct correlation with soliciting services. Not saying that he did that but finding the logic of his fans laughable.
I have seem him in a few good dramas and his acting is not bad. He is simple but convincing in his style of acting. I will not say ” ge us good looking and can get any beautiful woman he wants”. What I will say is if this is true, he can kiss his illustrious career goodbye. That would be such a shame not to have him doing what he does best.
As for the delusional fans, never be fooled into thinking your idol cannot solicit prostitutes, or commit other nefarious acts. Let us hope it is not so. If it is, then, Li Yifeng is just another flawed human and not a perfect god like in their delusions.
@Renren Lol, you are right, a flawed actor is just impossible in their mind.
@Hohliu LOL. Do you watch Taiwanese dramas, or Taiwanese BL dramas, cause BL dramas is the it thing now. I personally have watched a few, but want nothing to do with the Thai productions, and specifically want nothing to do with Mew Suppasit . I can’t find words to describe him, certainly not any good words, and I’m not usually rendered speechless.
I dont actively watch BL unless there is a good storyline with good acting…There is just too many sub par BL dramas mass produced… Not a fan of Mew Suppasit… but I do find Bright and Win fun to watch… I believe both are fairly relaxed actors…I may be mistaken.
There is another idol falling from grace – Evan Lin. Wonder who’s next. When will fans realize that that these idols may not be whom they pretend to be and stop spending unnecessarily on them.
I like him as an actor! He also looks like Bosco to me 😉 hahaha which is a plus
